OMT - Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur

A relegation specialist or a manager that will play defensive, anti-football to try and mask our issues at the back.

The ONLY person available is Sean Dyche, and I honestly do not see him taking the job if offered unless he was given it on a 3 year contract. At this point, given that we need to stay up, we might well be running out of choice in the matter…

We need someone who can organize a defence and get the players up for a relegation battle. There are no great options but at this stage I would take Sean Dyche until the end of the season. . Who did you want to come in to replace Frank?

My heart wanted Redknapp and two modern coaches. My head said that Tudor was a good choice (based in information)…I said at the time that I was a ‘fan’ thinking with ‘fan brain’ and that thankfully there were adults in the room. I think I might have got that bit wrong!!!!

As a club we continue to fuc k up the human side of it and always look at stats, data and info. This situation is about everything BUT that, except in the reality that our stats and data say we are going bye bye baby!

How can anyone think of sacking him after 2 games. That's just ridiculous. Come on people please.
As I've said the length of time doesn't matter at this stage he's not a long term solution. What matters is the next game and whether or not we think he can win it. It's been games and 2 abject performances which worry me far more than the actual results.

I think Thursday is pivotal for him. Lose that and it's 3 defeats from 3 with Liverpool away on the horizon which is as close to a guaranteed defeat as you can get for us.

I can see the argument for sacking him but it makes us look extremely reactive and panicked and the players heads would be spinning. It'd also be an amazing admission of incompetence from the board.

Christ, how did we get here?
I see no way out for VV and Lange if we lose the next 2 games. Sack him and they look like complete cowboys. Keep him and we probably go down.

When there is no football knowledge or aptitude you have to go by data.

Agreed. I think the main issue is that the squad has no confidence in themselves right now but also in the club. Sacking Tudor would just prove to the majority that are already mentally checked out from being here that this club is truly a basket case and has no chance to be saved.
Or it can prove we made a mistake and right it quickly. Fans need to think crisis management where you try something it doesn't work so you change course quickly and decisively. We need to right it before we run out of games

Brilliant point Steff. This is crisis management we need someone who can rally the players quickly.

Fair points. And you might be right. We simply have to beat Palace. It’s one of our winnable games against a team also in bad form. At home. This is one of the ones Tudor was brought in to get. If he can’t do that, then GHod knows what will happen.

I too liked the idea of Harry as a figurehead. I don’t know that it’s a perfect answer but there are no perfect answers right now.

I can’t see a world where we don’t go down if I’m honest.

I want to believe, of course I hope more than anything to stay up, but honestly where is the point coming from? We do t look capable of picking up 1 let alone 3.

West Ham and Forest are different to us, they aren’t good but they fight and show guts. We’re utterly abject and appalling across the entire pitch.

This squad is gutless, and anything in it that resembles any level of quality is injured. I’d fancy West Ham to get at least a point at Fulham, maybe all three. I don’t even trust our lot to get anything at Wolves who also show more fight than us. We couldn’t beat them in their really poor period earlier in the season.

I’d love for any one of you to give me something to hope for or believe in, but I honestly think this lot are toast, I currently can’t see us picking up a single further point. I genuinely believe we are currently the worst team in their league.

We looked absolutely shot today. Devoid of ideas.

I wonder if the hard running sessions have got these fukin pricks in a boo with Igor already.

I don’t think there is defenders to organise TBH
He can start by getting players in positions they are comfortable in

Right now there is no future beyond the next game and no past beyond the one we jut played. We have to stick to what we’re learning there. If Igor has taken notes, he will know that right now he has to start with Richy, Sarr, Tel, Souza and Danso. Hope for one or two more to return (albeit the only one who would make a diff that might arrive in time for the final 6 games is Bergvall because he has a pair). We need Romero to stay on the pitch when he returns too.

I was absolutely appalled by the sheer abjectness of the performance. Iwobi’s goal? With the amount of time he had, I’d have been able to pop that in!

My heart says we will escape with 6-8 points to spare. My head says we are going down. I’ll always go with my heart…it’s why I support THFC!
Was a great finish TBF
But then
Like in so so many games this season we have no one putting any defensive pressure on him

It’s a fudgein disgrace that’s what. Players earning 150k per week what a joke sack the lot of them couldn’t care less right now

And what on earth makes you think we can even get a point at home ? Let alone a win

West Ham, yes - they should be fine. I think in 4 games time they'll consider themselves safe.

Forest are brick too.
22 March, us Vs Forest - that's close to be a relegation decider.

In a funny quirk, Fulham have both WHam and Forest soon! Wolves also have us and I think it's WHam.

Honestly I have no idea! I have to believe our superior quality versus Palace would see us through but what else is there? I don’t know. They’ve lost Guehi. The manager wants out. It probably isn’t great in that dressing room either.

We simply have to win that game. Pray that the players have personal pride. Pray that the confidence comes from somewhere. Pray that Tudor has figured some things out in the first couple games and knows who he can trust.

I don't disagree but West Ham looked gone a few weeks ago, a goal, win or even a particular moment can turn things around - any spark can bring some confidence back then things look totally different.

Just have to pray something happens against Palace as we won't get anything at Anfield.

We can moan about refereeing decisions all we like but we could have been 4-0 down at half time easily. The fact is our squad is so poor. But this has not happened overnight. Our run to the Champions League final papered over the fall in our Premiership form. Our first season under Ange was held up by being undefeated in our first 10 games where we picked up nearly half the points we got in a whole season. Last season we won the Europa league but in the league we were lucky there were 3 teams that were worse than us. This year I am not so sure we are on such a bad run and nothing makes me think we can turn it around. Depending how results go on wednesday I think if we don`t beat Palace on thursday I think we could be fudged
