Would seem odd for Sony to have spent time redesigning the PS3 (again) though, if they're to replace them soon. Could just be a last hurrah I guess.

Didnt they do the same thing before? I seem to remember a smaller version coming out just before the ps2 and then again with the ps2...

The Kickstarter only has 4 hours left. They're almost up to $3.7 million in funding. Can they raise $300,000 more in 4 hours?

How can anybody not love Borderlands? madness.

Unless of course you're playing on your own, then it could be stale. Great with friends though

Yes could be right mate, heard its a brilliant co-op game and thats what really made Bordlerlands shine. I did play it alone as I know few people with PCs and fewer with PCs + Borderlands (2 to be exact) so just tried to trudge through single player.
I dont dislike the game but as u say it does get stale quickly. The millions of weapons novelty is ok but find myself throwing 90% of the weapons I loot away coz mine are better (bit like Diablo 3). I will go back to it tho one day... Its on the "to do" list.

I doubt it will be, from early screens and trailer it seems to be running on the same graphics engine as GTA4... Which aint a bad thing if you look at what the PC modders got out of that!! (graphic mods on PC that make GTA4 look next gen)... But the likes of Watchdog could be?

I thought it odd that they announced GHod of War 4 is being developed for PS3. GoW was on PS1, GoW2 on PS2 and GoW3 on PS3... Make sense for the 4th to be on the 4th gen console wouldnt it?

So maybe 2014 for the Playstation 4... 20yrs after the original?

Xbox 360 browser rolled out this morning, currently using it and its a lot better than i expexted! no multi tabs that i can see but very, very fast and with the chat pad pretty easy to use!

Couple of PC exclusives here (so that applies to about 3 of you maybe)

First is a Medievil multiplayer hack and slash type game called "Chivalry: Medieval Warfare". It's essentially Call of Duty Medieval but looks like good fun. There was another game similar to this released last month called "War of the Roses".

First is £18.99 on Steam and WotR is £24.99

Excuse the commentary but it was the shortest gameplay video I could find, most were 30mins or more!!

I love the concept of medieval FPS games but generally the execution is poor. No game has yet managed to map FPS Sword combat in such a way that its not repetitive and wild swings. After watching the video I would get bored of that game after five minutes, people running about strafing waving swords about, seems devoid of any tactics or strategy. I should imagine whoever landed the first blow would in a majority of cases get the kill.

I read a review on War of the Roses and they said it was OK, but there were moments when the combat just devolved into a clusterfvck. In one on ones, the combat is supposed to be pretty good, but that rarely occurs. I think it got 3/5 or 3.5/5 stars on GameSpy, so not terrible but not great.

Just saw a Skyrim rumor about the next DLC featuring dragon mounts

Just wrote a large post bout how awesome Dead Space 2 is now that I have just finished it and as I clicked post it wiped it all and said "Error; stop spamming the gaming thread with your love of Dead Space" or words to that effect. Not happy but nevermind... Think you all got the picture now. Both games are awesome. Just gotta wait till Feb for the 3rd one now.

In the meantime I was gonna start Dishonored but it's STILL not here after I ordered from Amazon Saturday... That'll teach me to buy hard copies, I never learn. Digi downloads have not let me down yet

Haha yeah thought most might be pleased. Well no more Dead Space till Feb you'll be pleased to hear lol.

Just fired up Borderlands seeing as Dishonored aint here yet and I didnt want to start another game knowing it wont get finished once Dishonored arrived. Struggled to get into the flow of it for first 10-15mins as its been a while... Plus had no idea what I was doin, saved it mid mission so was a bit lost.
Forgot bout the "rare" weapons colours (like on Diablo) and threw away a blue one.

Anyway eventually got back into the swing and yeah its good. Again I seemed to get lost in sidemissions but hopefully I can finish this one and get Borderlands 2 for Xmas maybe? Got a few friends who play it so can try the co op experience... But yeah it'll keep me busy till Amazon/Royal Mail pull their finger out

I finished XCOM on normal. Still think there's a bunch of bugs to be worked out, but overall it was a fun game. I don't think it will have much longevity, but I do plan on doing an Iron Man run sometime in the near future.

Will do. Wish I got Dishonored from my usual source (UGK) now instead of Amazon for 2 reasons;

1.) i would have it now already installed and ready to play

2.) they had an offer if you ordered it from there you got 20% off Borderlands 2.

I actually much prefer sword play to be top down as you can make the moves quite graceful. I loved games like Tenchu... Stealth, grapples, nasty swords... great stuff.

Really enjoying it mate and don't feel like the XBox version has comprimised anything, which is good. Obviously a little dumbed down from its former glory but there's no game like it on the market and the nostalgia is flowing. Good stuff.

Completed it already as well? Your eyes must be falling out of your head!
