Just downloaded the Torchlight 2 demo. Really like it, they've obviously spent the profits from the first game developing a much more expansive sequel... Considering the pedigree of the developers behind it, hopefully it'll be the first of a few interesting new franchises. Going to buy the full game.
 
I played through AC1 and AC2, but not yet bothered with Brotherhood or Revelations, are they worth playing, do they continue AC2's story?

Everyone should play AC2, it's a great game. For your question, yes both games continue Ezio's story and Desmond, and Revelations continues Altair's as well. You can do without both, but Brotherhood is well worth playing. I liked Rev too but you could miss it.

I'm literally erect with excitement for AC3 just a few days to go
 
I've heard that those two don't live up to the standards of I or II. Currently playing through AC2 again (never finished it) to get myself ready for AC3.
Will have to figure out if I want to get it for PC or xbox... I have a beefy system that should make the game look better, but only if the developers improve the PC port. It also comes out a few weeks later... I'll probably cave and just get it for xbox.
 
Might as well throw my two pence in on the AC series...

AC1 - very repetitive, good graphics but every mission was same in different country, but the basics were there.

AC2 - complete overhaul, lots of missions and a big step up

AC Brotherhood/Revelations - again, took the game further, not as big as a jump as between first two but still better.

Ultimately the franchise is a bit confusing on storyline but gameplay and missions are so much better, do not base the game on first game as it really is different. I love it, great series, I only really buy a couple of games a year, FIFA ticks me over, AC series and Batman Arkham sets too.

Can't wait for AC3 - all over it. Just annoyed as got the weekend free this week from the mrs and have to wait til next Friday!
