Season 5 is on the way and a season 6 was just commissioned! We have just finished season 4 as well and i agree we both thought it was not as good as the previous ones.

Yes the storyline was not as strong this time, but subplots were planted and character development was at the forefront- which we might find permit a return to form in forthcoming seasons.
I really did enjoy those last few episodes though - perhaps because I watched week by week rather than binge-ing on it.
Adventure Time is great. Try Regular Show too. Also watching Adventure Time with my son now. Fantastic show to watch with kids, its fun for us both. Very creative and imaginative with an original ooomph you don't often see in series that works for kids.

You only need to watch the latest Batman film with Robert Pattinson the star.Penguin is really really good. I haven't been interested in the Batman universe since I was a kid, but gonna have to watch a few of those movies now. Colin Farell is incredible, as is the woman playing Sofia.
I'm looking forward to the Dune series now.

Interesting as I think the Batman universe stuff only gets interested once you have grown up a bit, themes of mental health displayed in all of the various villains, a downtrodden society, the vigilante complex and various aspects of privilege particular around the Wayne family.
I'm three deep into The Penguin, agree with everything you say, Cristin Miliotti has been great in everything I have seen her in, Black Mirror, Fargo (series) and Palm Springs. It's still quite novel watching "bad guys" going around being conniving AF, I guess there's a bit of an effort to humanise Oswald with a bit more about his upbringing and family stuff. The grim vibe of the city is portrayed so well as it was in the Batman.
Nolan's trilogy was brilliant, one and two in particular and the other Batman films, if you don't take them too seriously they are a lot of fun but I doubt Tommy Lee Jones would have the same opinion...I'd be interested if they brought back Dr Freeze in a less silly way but it seems nailed on there'll be another Joker in the sequel to the Batman, which just seems unnecessary imo.
Holy cow how do you not mention Cesar Romero, Frank Gorshin, Burgess Meredith and Chief O'Hara
I'm showing my age / ignorance here as I am unfamiliar with each and every name you have mentioned tbh. I haven't even seen the Adam West Batman films so can't comment on anything going back further than that...
Looking back, was it supposed to have homosexual undertones? All the outfits were very gay. They were in the Adam West TV series, Romero was Joker, Gorshin Riddler and Meredith Penguin, it was on in mid 60's all very OTT
