This is so true, from February 11th onwards it was obvious that Harry's mind was not on the job at hand at Spurs. Capello had been sacked and every media outlet was talking about Harry as new England boss. We beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine and that was it really, one capitulation after another. Funny how as soon as Woy got the job we picked up again and started winning isn't it?
All he had to do was publically state that he wasn't interested in the job and that he was staying with Spurs to ensure we got 3rd. He wouldn't do that because it was too risky and the rest is History!
At the end he even started talking about getting 4th and how wonderful that would be, weeks after saying something similar about 3rd - I actually believe that he didn't realise that Chelsea winning that CL would cost us our place at that time!

No, but it makes it understandable that some just don't like him. Like me. Likewise his achievements with us doesn't negate everything dodgy about him and what he's done at other clubs. I still appreciate his time with us and my digs are mostly at his persona.

Let's not forget how he went on and on that speculation about the England job had no impact on the team's performance but changed his tune that the team needed to know who the manager was when he wanted a new contract. That kind of 180 may play with his chums in the press corps but not with DL.

Perhaps Rangers expulsion has allowed Celtic to rest their best players in the League and why they've done well in the CL ?
Celtic already losing three games in the league perhaps suggests this is the case.

No (and there was no inference in my post about that). I was just stating that Harry contradicted himself in a very blatant way in the middle of a contract negotiation (I for one feel he was goading DL into sacking him and paying him off by hiring Paul Stretford as his agent and asking for a rich multi-year contract after the shambles of the end of last season).
I LOVE Spurs and HATE when we are a laughing stock and playing bricky football (as we're doing with AVB) with bad results (as we did with Harry from Mid-Feb onwards last season).
