I think he is - he has done some naff movies but also some good ones. He isnt in the category of the Di Caprios or Daniel Day Lewis' of this world but he is excellent.
Also caught a screening of this. Pretty good whodunnit thriller I thought, a real story/event-heavy film.
...left the cinema with a sore backside too 8-[

This. Could ruin the reputation and enjoyment of their predecessors in the same way that the Matrix and Indiana Jones trilogies impacted upon the originals.
Sure, you can still enjoy the originals but it still feels as if something has been taken away by the sequels.
