Still need a DM, but it's one of the big gaps in the squad plugged.

I still think the formation change negates the need for that. I'd like to see what the current group look in that setup anyway, as there's no major improvement particularly obvious and readily available.

I think we will absolutely do more business. TBH, I think there's more to come in terms of structuring from the top of the club...
 
Not an expert by any stretch, but watching the highlights he looks like he'll be really impactful when we're playing counterattacking football. Which I'm betting we'll do in a good chunk of games.

I think .. purely based on the lack of links… we aren’t after one
The only viable one I’ve heard is Rios, the Colombian
I wouldn’t be shocked to see us negate the need for a DM by playing 3 at the back
I don’t think we will keep biss. His contract and history will knock his standing here

Where does the money come from though? We've spent massively the last 3 summers and our debt is increasing quite significantly. And we've no real sellable assets that aren't needed - just Gil, Solomon and maybe Son.

But if the goal is just to cover this season while Grey (and perhaps Abbott) emerges into the role, is there a better short-term solution than Bentancur and Biss?

Well both leave for a free next season so we have to do something
The easiest option is choose the one who has been most reliable overall and most versatile and sell the other
We also have Gray for midfield next season which we didn’t for most of last

...I'd say 'watch this space'...there has been a lot of activity already at that end of the club, and I personally don't think Venkateshum has arrived to play with the same toys Daniel has been using for many years. The rumours are out there and I personally think they're worth something?

Apparently not only was there the factor of West Ham being brick last season, he was played out of position quite a bit.

I'll try to dig it up, but his numbers seem to still be decent last season when played in RW position.

It looks like an expensive market right now, I think his price is probably fair, if not a touch under expected.
