Modric - No Longer A Spurs Player

Are you serious? And what's with all this 'verts' malarkey is that what he told you his nickname was?

Verts is the new Pav or new Ade. Far too long to type out in full.

It resembles Modric, but i'd say it's pretty much 99% not him.

good to see the two dutchmen getting along.

wouldn't mind bringing in Affelay to add to our Dutch ranks

Doh! Flemish is more Dutch than if he were Walloon, but reckon he'd still prefer Belgian.

Mate was at Heathrow today is flying back to New York after his wedding, he saw the Spurs squad and had piccies taken with most of them..

He said he saw no sign of Luka

Provide quotes and i'll accept he's on strike. Currently it's media speculation.

The deal has been done and hes on his way by the looks of it, good fudging riddence lets get back to positive thoughts, he is a very good player but he adorns games he does not influence them, when hes gone we might have a nice surprise about how much he actually contributes ( other than possesion obviously ) its all gone on long enough.

no one knows why he hasn't gone - i won't be jumping to the conclusion that he's sulking or on strike or whatever - it's just as likely that the deal is imminent and he has been allowed the time to sort his brick out before he moves to another country

If you dont even believe it to be true why push it so much?

The reasoning of "We havent been categorically told something therefore dont actually know" is all well and good - but sometimes its just bloody obvious.[/QUOTE]

The vast majority of us do not know excately what is happening, i do not include you and others in that because you obviously have a magic insight.

nowhere near done if clubs are so far apart in valuations

I am talking about last season when he did not play the first game.

Little Luka has the argument that Modric *could* have not played because the poor little lamb was in such a mess he just knew he wouldnt contribute. He didnt play because it was in the best interest of the TEAM.

There isnt proof to the contrary, but lets be honest - its not bloody true is it?

Piece it together - He wanted to leave. He was outspoken in that. He didnt get his way. Then he doesnt start the season. The whole sequence of events is about self interest - why would the final action be a selfless act?

The decision not to play him was made by Redknapp, at no time did Modric refuse to play or do you know different?

Do you think that Modric has been thoroughly professional and caused no fuss during the last two pre seasons?

Did Redknapp think Krancjar and Livermore were a better bet than Modirc in the centre than Modric? Was Modric injured for that game?

'Arry said he made the final call, but he could have been protecting the player. He was playing the good cop to Levy's bad cop. I've noticed that quite a few posters here don't take everything 'Arry says as solid evidence.

Anyway, do people really think when a player says their head is not quite right that they are really suffering from mental exhaustion? Its not as if the player is locked in a room for ten hours a day with an army of lawyers discussing the fine details of the move. We all know its code for refusing to play when part of a transfer demand.

Did Redknapp do it as a complete act of randomness or was he left with no choice?

Modric was the first name on the team sheet. We were not told he was injured. Unless he made it clear to the contrary he WOULD have played. Redknapp has played a half fit King often enough for us to know he wouldnt think twice he if thought he could do it.

The only logical reason for Redknapp to not play Modric is because Modric gave him no choice.

This is indeed the only logical explanation. lets face it - Modric looks like a rat and has behaved like one (especially saying he wanted to play for Chelsea while still our player). Unprofessional. Lets get rid now.

I had no issue with Modric wanting leave last season, or this season.

I feel his conduct at the time though was VERY poor.

To be fair to him though after the first couple of games his performances and behaviour were spot on.

THEYRE UTTER fudging ****S.

Levy better not buckle and actually add an extra million for every indiscretion and underhanded tactics that Madrid use. UTTER ****S

Whatever he does, he still has a number of years left on his contract. fudge Real Madrid.
