Modric - No Longer A Spurs Player

It really doesnt. Like I said, any way you cut it he made sure he didnt play

Does this mean that mental exhaustion doesn't affect players?
Does it mean that players can never be honest about such a thing?

Yes, he made sure he didn't play. Why he did we don't know. It could be to force the club into a sale, or it could be because he though his performance would be too poor for our team to do well.

We do know, he wanted to leave and had been trying to engineer a move.

Mental exhaustion is not the same as not getting what you want so soon as you stamp your feet and feeling sorry for yourself.

I really dont think his actions were with the team at heart for a second.

If he is sulking he is better off not being anywhere near the squad of players who actually want to play for AVB and in the new Spurs team..

Im glad he hasnt gone

I was having a look at Marca.com. They make our tabloids seem reticent. They had two stories on the Modric transfer on Wednesday, two on Thursday, six yesterday and three today. Its almost as if they are orchestrating Modric's movements.

Neither do I. I am a cynical man, and I am aware that I come across as very naive in all this, but I am happy to tell you that I personally believe exactly what you wrote above, but that doesn't make him guilty of actually doing it. And that is the problem here, we all have a subjective reality which is rational enough, but it is limited. And I hope I am proven wrong in what I believe happened.

If you dont even believe it to be true why push it so much?

The reasoning of "We havent been categorically told something therefore dont actually know" is all well and good - but sometimes its just bloody obvious.

Verts has posted a photo on Twitter of Modric on the plane to the US.

Are you serious? And what's with all this 'verts' malarkey is that what he told you his nickname was?

Verts - shorter version of vertonghen.

It's not like he's going to come on here and complain about the use of a shortening.

It resembles Modric, but i'd say it's pretty much 99% not him.

Because I believe in certain principles, and one is the presumption of innocence. And that means that the accused must be guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

I find that there is reasonable doubt simply because it is still possible he did it with the best intentions for the team.
I would also suggest that since a lot of the evidence against Modric so far has come from the media, who if you have followed my arguments so far I do not see as valid, then there is reasonable doubt.

lol. would you rather us type out Van der Vaart every time as opposed to just VDV?

Vertonghen is too long plus theres an h in there nobodys ever 100% sure where to put. So.... Verts
