Mauricio Pochettino

A lot of talk about him joining Chelsea. I couldn't blame him if he went for it - he owes us nothing and we've had chances to bring him back.

However, if Levy allows him to join Chelsea without doing everything possible to bring him back here, I'll march on the stadium with bucketloads of petrol and a box of matches. Would be sickening to see him in their dugout.

Do think this could be a catalyst for the Levy Out movement to grow.

Then again, do we 100% know he wants to return? I've always assumed he would jump at it but who knows.

Good question. I think if Poch goes there, at the present time, Levy's in a world of trouble with a lot of the fan base. The preferred option for 50%-60% of the fan base (based on the polls I see here and elsewhere) goes to one of our two most hated rivals - that would be enough for some to get the pitchforks out. It'd also appear that Chelsea, who are chaotic to say the least, are more organised than us. Again, that just ramps the pressure up on Levy because the optics are terrible. I don't think we'll get 4th and I can see results going south to be honest. That happens and the argument can be made that "Conte had us 4th, we sacked him with no plan and we are tumbling down the table". It's a flawed argument but when tensions run high, no one cares how flawed the argument is if it suits a narrative. It'll all create toxicity around the club with Levy the target for most of it.

Levy's already under pressure IMO, Poch goes there and that ramps up. Poch is successful there, especially if the wheels come off for us, and it could turn ugly.

How much influence and Levy Out movement can have is debatable. But it certainly won't get smaller if the above comes to pass and that's not good news for our owners.

I hated it when there were the rumours of him going to United, but that would be positively welcome in comparison.

Yeah I was the same. I know I'm like a lovesick teenager a bit because, while I'd like Poch back here, I know it may not be the right thing for either him or us. But I really don't want anyone else in England to have him.

F**k me, never felt like that with Venables, Jol or Redknapp and I thoroughly enjoyed their reigns.

If, and i think its a massive if, poch goes to Chelsea and the reports of levy saying to poch that we didn't want him are true then levy is in a world poop.
I'm a big supporter of Levy and I wasn't convinced about poch coming back until last night, even though i love the guy, but we need to get back to enjoying the football again, getting a good feeling about the club and looking forward.
Rehiring poch will do that right away, it might not work, but it ain't working now and more worryingly the signs are its going to get worse.
Its easter weekend, resurrect jesus, bring back poch.

Yeah, to be fair, I've painted a massive doomsday scenario above and the odds on all that happening are fairly long. And I'd share your views on Poch. I really wanted him in place for Saturday which won't happen. I'm going on Saturday but kinda dreading it if I'm honest. If it was the return of Poch, the place would be bouncing and I'd be itching to get over there. Maybe that's just short term thinking but after the last 4 years, a short term buzz seems very attractive at the moment.

According to the papers he does want to return, doesn’t want to return, Levy wants him, Levy doesn’t want him, they’ve spoken, they haven’t spoken, it depends on Real, it doesn’t depend on Real…
Nobody has a clue, all we can do is sit and wait.

It's going an absolute borefest to watch for the final 9 games if stellini stays. I really think we need to be in talks with Pochettino this week or the weekend at the very latest.
based on what i saw last week, the triple-header week v Toon/United/Liverpool is going to be brutal

I want him in not because I think it will be a success but it’s the only way we’re ever getting past him. If it’s not him the next manager is just going to get the “he’s magic you know” chants as soon as he hits a bad patch

But I don’t wanna wait!

Poch claimed he could never manage A'nal because he understood the intense rivalry between the two and what it meant to the fans. Said it would be the same as going to Barca having managed Espanyol.

So hopefully he understands also why he needs to swerve Chelsea.

What if Danny swerves him for Brenda? That alone would be fuel for me if I was Poch to go to Chelsea. A big fudge you and get the spurs fans backing poch for his decision
