We haven't anywhere near played to our known potential yet and we are sitting 3 points off top, haven't lost a league game, have only conceded 4 league goals and are awaiting the return to fitness of our star striker. Not much to worry about there for me at the moment.
You mention we are way off winning the league. That's my point. Winning the league should not be our expectation.
In Europe we've been poor. But we have a young squad most of whom haven't played in it and a manager who's never managed in it. Our expectation shouldn't be very high to begin with.
I agree but last night was such a seismic shocker performance wise, it was not about too higher expectations it was more about basic football standards for a premier clubs not even being close to being attained, it was abject!
