I believe Poch is very important and I would do all I could to keep him, I do feel like many others on here that not signing any back up could hurt us.

I have seen you calling out a few posters now about being upset/frustrated/disappointed....regarding lack of signings

Are we allowed to be frustrated Alekaras??? its not like we are anti-fans or saying that Poch/Levy have no clue far from it!

Either way I am proud of my team tonight, and proud of our coach and our direction...the window has closed so thats it, I do feel we are still getting ahead of ourselves in the sense that we have over a third of the season to go, and nothing yet has been achieved in the grand scheme of things.

I respect your opinions Alkeras but I dont understand why you have to keep digging a few of us out as being anti Poch just because we are frustrated at not signing back up for the cf position....we are allowed our views and it does not mean we do not rate Poch, or that we want the team to fail in order to be proved correct...far from it.

We need to be careful and just take a little step back, no one is denying Poch is not the dogs danglies at the mo but some are whipping up a GHod like status of the man...as far as I know he is a man! he is human...and just like you and me is prone to getting things wrong and making mistakes from time to time.

I get the optimism, he deserves praise, but lets all try not to ejaculacion prematurium, WE NEED to retain our focus our hunger!...We need a bit of luck...and like all teams trying for top honours we need to steer clear of injuries.

Poch has trials and tribulations to come...We have a long way to go.
I'm not saying we shouldn't be frustrated or disappointed. I am, too, that we didn't get an extra striker. I, too, would like to see a shiny new player come in and make us even better. What I'm calling out are the proclamations of doom and over-the-top statements, as if we'd be going from being third with the best defense and GD to relegation fodder, just because we didn't sign a bench player. I'm calling out people blaming Poch and Levy without knowing the full story behind why certain transfers didn't happen, but who are just speculating on the why. I'm calling out those who make stuff up or selectively choose the things that suit their narrative and can't provide a balanced view. And finally I'm calling out people who are whining all the time and can't see all the progress we have made and how well positioned we are to continue this progress.

I think those are fair things to call out, wouldn't you say?

With regards to the bold-faced bit above, I whole-heartedly disagree. More has been achieved in 18 months than was achieved the previous 23 years if we're looking at health and long-term structure.

Wait, you get all twisted like a pretzel that we didn't sign a backup striker who would likely sit on the bench the rest of the season, but you're "meh" about Poch leaving??? The guy who is at the core of everything we have achieved this season and has put us on the path to become an elite team? I'm speechless...

Some just like to moan and bitch no matter what.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying Nigey ( and I do not consider you a moaner) especially the bolded bits. However there are a couple of fans on here ( will not mentioned the names but its pretty clear who they are) that are serial moaners and it seems they can not wait to bitch about Levy and I think they are the ones Alekaras is going on about.

Any chance they have to bash Levy is jumped on and you could see then sharpening the knives even before the window shut.

I salute you mate, that is probably one of the best posts I have ever read on here.

I got goose pimples seeing our away fans and the vocal support - Long Live 1882 !!! Poche is a living legend, a rock star manager. Faith in our manager.

He's our Steve Jobs of footy ! LOL ;)

Bravo! Great post!

So back to Poch ...

A few games recently (yesterday's as well), show a growing ability to manage a full game.

Get out ahead, get a second, slow it down, manage the game out and kill them on the counter as they press. Professional display.

Couldn't agree more with you. It is this sort of professional display that we have been lacking in the past 20 years. That ability to just put a game to bed without being one of those fight every second type performances that you sometimes need to win games. This, more than rotation of players, for me will ensure that our squad stay fresh.

I was lucky enough to be at the game last night, and I loved every second of it. My first away game in ages and a lot of Norwich fans said that we were the best organised team to go up there. I think we're only one of two teams to keep a clean sheet there this season.

I have to say I've really enjoyed the discussion on this thread over the past two days. My personal view is that Poch is replaceable like any manager. However, it will be a massive wrench to lose him now as I believe that we finally have a manager that will bring back the good times. If that is jumping the gun, then fine. I've dared to dream about Spurs being a successful force in football for 30 plus years, and this is only the third time that I have properly thought that we were on to something. That to me says keep him, love him, respect him and have faith in him.

One thing that I will ask though is where this supposition that Barcelona is the job that he really covets comes from? Is this just an assumption or is there some truth that I have not read somewhere that points to this.

I think people have been looking at what teams more elite than us Poch would consider a good fit for him and Barcelona seems like the one that is the closest fit. I believe there is some merit to that argument, but of course we're not in Poch's head to know what his preferences and aspirations are. Whatever they are, I sure hope they include Spurs for many more years to come!
