January transfer rumour thread

He cannot cement a starting spot in that struggling team, and as I spoke last night in his 11 starts half of them he comes of after an hour.

Fair comment, but we've all seen the lad with our own eyes. He looked a class act in the CL at 20 years old (and stormed the Bundesliga that season as well). If we can get him for a steal and work him back into that player, we'd be mad not to imo.

Remember it was only two seasons ago that people here were talking about who was better out of him and Modric.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis admits the club will never be able to compete with their wealthier rivals, but has defended their transfer policy.

Could that be because you're wasting all your money on ridiculous wages for the average players you already have? This is the same guy that thinks City are jealous of them because they're still involved in 3 competitions.

I thought Rodellega was a desperate signing, until I heard about Saha... I'd actually rather Rodellega now... at least he's versatile!! Unless Pav is definitely off, and Saha doesn't mind playing 3rd/4th fiddle then fine... unless Harry has him in mind to give Ade a kick up the hole he needs... BATTLE OF THE LOAN RANGERS!

I thought Saha would be a 6 month loan, now I hear it is going to be a 18 month loan. Yet a year ago we allegedly bidding for ?ú38.5m players WTF

Yup, if there's no decent big money signing we can make now, get someone in cheap / free / loan as cover for the rest of the season and do the serious business in the summer. I'd rather spend nowt than just spend for the sake of spending.

Agreed? Besides, Saha makes Ledley look like Mr Fitness. Saha is a poor poor player

Harry talks so much brick, 'we will only sign a special player'. that old twitchy bastard cant tell the truth for one fudging sentence can he, no wonder he is in court for tax evasion, trumping his way through that too.

At some he's gonna come out of court and ring Levy and ask him what's up... Samba, Hoilett, Leandro, Remy?

No sorry Harry, remember Plan G, the one with Saha.. well.....

If Harry wants him then ill go with it, he hasnt done a bad job for us so far and knows far more than all of us on here...

The Viking Cometh - First Transfer is now Official

Iversen speaks on his son being snapped up by an unwitting scout!

Steffen Iversen's six-year-old son Joey has joined Spurs' youth system.

The youngster has been invited to train with Tottenham's academy once a week, despite being three years younger than anyone else in Spurs youth system.

"The scout who discovered Joey did not know anything about who he was," Iversen senior told Aftenbladet.

"He was at Joey's school on another errand, but then noticed this kid who was running rings around his peers.

"Afterwards, we received an email from the school with the talent scout's name and phone number and a message that we had to call him. At first we thought it was a joke."

His mother, Anna, believes that Joey is a natural striker.

"When he played with boys his own age, they couldn't get the ball off him. His team would win 5-0 and he would score all the goals," she said.

"Therefore, he plays mostly with older boys. Joey is tall for his age and muscular.

"He has a football players physique and the same powerful legs as his father."

How cool is that, he was scouted at six without knowing who his dad was. Fair play!

Would be good if we had a set-piece specialist as we get into the positions thanks to Bale, Azza and Modders but no one to utilise such positions.

Don't mind Saha as I wouldn't have minded Zamora. They are not first choice but serve a purpose. I appreciate the January transfer window is not an ideal time to sign a WC striker. It's easy to get hyped up on deadline day, just as much we hate ITKs but read their posts.

can everyone stop being hysterical about a possible Saha signing, he will be only cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replacing one ordinary striker for another is not an improvement. I would rather stick with Pav becaue as poor as he is at least he will not be sending more time getting fit than Ledley

Would rather we went for Zamora
