Posters on here blabbing on about our injuries just takes me back to Covid. People read a couple of online articles and become 'experts' on the subject matter and what is going on....
Yea but that was all we had to do.

That is insightful from Nedum and one of the better articles coming out of the Beeb for a long while. It's almost as if a professional footballer might have more of an insight into things...

Could've played his last game for us
Depends what the new manager wants in a CB i guess.Could've played his last game for us
Billy. He is not looking for a bogeyman or a common root cause. This article is about the feedback loop of injury and desperation caused by professionals putting their bodies on the line. He's clearly talking from a position of ignorance though when he comes out with stuff like "I am not even sure Tottenham's style is that demanding" which kinda throws the rest of his insights in to doubt
The thing is, it doesn’t actually look to me like we’re sprinting around way more than any other team. Does it look that way to anyone else?Hmmm .. wonder why our injuries are what they are
Worth noting that the differences are fairly small. Particularly in the in possession axis. Unlikely to be visible as such. The thing is, it doesn’t actually look to me like we’re sprinting around way more than any other team. Does it look that way to anyone else?
And what is it about the system that requires so much sprinting? To me our press looks less aggressive than other pressing teams.

I thought the margins were small at first too, but then out of possession you’re looking at an extra 30%, which is quite a lot.Worth noting that the differences are fairly small. Particularly in the in possession axis. Unlikely to be visible as such.
Would be interesting to see how those numbers look over time...
A good high press obviously requires sprinting out of possession. But to me where you really get a lot of sprinting is when the press is played through. Players racing to get back into position.
I obviously can't know, but wouldn't be surprised if our high numbers out of possession is partly due to our press not being effective enough more than it being so high/aggressive. That again would have multiple factors causing it.

That explains stepping up a move for CB, and probably Danso
What’s the deal with Romero then, he had a set back?
Just check to see when the next Argentina game is, 100% he will be fit for the game before thatWhat’s the deal with Romero then, he had a set back?

romero heals in time to play for argentinaPostecoglou mentioned on Friday that Romero is a “slow healer” and he’s just said in post-Brentford conference that “Christian is a little bit away” but hasn’t mentioned specifics AFAIK.
Hopefully our new RCB proves a little more resilient, what with gaffer not sounding optimistic about Dragusin playing again any time soon.
