Stones doesn't deserve a place in the squad, he's not shown that he's a good enough defender. Milner and Lallana are sh1t. Carrick for experience (and I can't think of another good defensive midfielder to backup for Dier). Unfortunately, I've had to pick two Everton defenders, but at least they are experienced backups.

Where have all our good centre halves gone? I remember when the likes of Keown didn't get a game, he was miles ahead of anybody we can pick now.

People would laugh if Lallana, Henderson and Clyne played for any club other than Liverpool and were picked in the England squad. Makes it even more laughable when someone on TalkSport today suggested that Liverpool shouldn't pay 20 mil for Mario Gôtze because they have players like Lallana already.
