Ingerlund

Very positive game. I had it in my head the Dier was going to score as soon as the ball went out for a corner.

It's been a long time since I've enjoyed watching England play and that's all down to the fact that we have the right players playing in the right positions. Much better without Shelvey/Wheelchair/Delph playing as a stand alone DM. Alli enjoyed a lot of freedom and tbh, the move to a diamond seemed to suit us as Alli became a little bit more unpredictable. I also though Hendersen had a decent second half after looking well off the pace in the first. That side that finished the match is actually close to what I'd start with in the Euro's.

The only downside is that after this performance the England crowd are going to want to see Alli at Wembley on Tuesday. I pray that it doesn't happen, because he looked tired from 70 mins onwards tonight and needs the rest.

Well done to Kane and Dier for scoring for England. Both were well taken goals. But Vardy scoring for England is not good for Spurs. He has not scored for Leicester in 5 matches but has now scored a good goal for England which will only boost his confidence. As for England, don't think they have done themselves any favour by beating Germany in the meaningless friendly. You know the English media will hype up England's chance to win the Euro now, thus putting more pressure on the England players.

England need as much Tottenham glue as possible

Just imagine, England are indebted to an Argentine for helping to produce so many of their current talents ! Not sure what the Argentine media and public will think about Pochettino for reviving England national team ! Let's hope England won't even think about making Pochettino to be their next manager !

I doubt it will, but I hope his late miss doesn't knock his confidence. With his mate getting the winner I think he will have slept a lot better knowing if he wasn't costly.

I'm kind of glad Alli missed what would have probably been the match winner.....the hype machine would have been unbearable....plus its kinda nice his best mate got him out of a hole.

It would be nice to think that Woy would go with his gut and just let these youngsters roll with it, but I fear the shoehorn will be coming out once Rooney et al start showing they can walk again.

It won't matter, I think that most of the fans lost interest in international football a while a go.

For me he should not play for England again. Not because I think he has 'gone' or become a bad player. He has had his chances now, done his bit, but it is time to look foward and not back. We have a decent bunch of forwards aleady and I am not even convinced that Rooney is an upgrade on any them these days

I don't have confidence that Hodgson won't default back to the status quo once they are "fit". My only hope is that Rooney and Wheelchair break down on their rehab and miss the Euro's, we'll be stronger as a team if they do.

So proud of our boys, best players on that England team last night.

I have been let us say apathetic towards all things England since 1996. If they play like the did last night in 'competitive games' fans will love it and return. It has been almost trendy in football fan circles to criticise the FA regarding the England national team and rightly so.
Last night was good to watch even for non-Spurs fans.

Without any question the best England performance since the 5-1 against Germany fifteen years ago. And that was against a far worse Germany side than this one. Don't think I've seen England look that crisp and fluid since the 4-1 against Holland at Euro 96, which was the last time we built the spine of the team from Tottenham players.

Hard to see where Rooney fits back into this team, captain or not. One man I would like to see given a chance to start in it is Sturridge though, as his goalscoring record when fit is outstanding. Vardy has probably earned himself a starting place although I wonder if his pace is better to bring off the bench against tired legs. There is an argument for bringing Wheelchair into the starting XI but ONLY if he gets fit again before the end of the season and performs to a high standard in the final few games - he is not so good/important to the team to be worth taking a gamble on - Alli and Dier were excellent last night and I thought Henderson did a good job alongside them, as long as somebody reminds him that he's not Steven Gerrard and he stops trying to hit long range screamers.

Still undecided on the CB pairing. But as it stands the front six I'd like to see are:

----------Dier-----------Henderson----------
------------------Alli---------------------------
-------------------------------------------------
Vardy-----------Kane--------------Sturridge

Forget the game what about the shirts! the two worse international kits I've seen for years. I thought the Germans were efficient but the kick off was late, my son said it was because they didn't like playing at 1945.

I thought Barkley looked positive when he came on, whilst Alli did well in the left channel as he often does when rotating out there for Spurs. Personally I'd stick to the diamond formation we finished with, leaving Henderson on the right side of it.

On a side note, why are England training at our place once again?

Location and facilities.

Do not think we will qualify for another world cup for 12 years and I know so much about football and am rarely wrong about anything.

Well you don;t know anything about politics...that's for sure...

Anyway..I've just come on here to say I've just seen watched the whole of the ingerlund game via a german TV recording. I only heard the result earlier To-day!
OK only a friendly but they...[Deutchclund] wanted to win. And I want to praise Eric Dier really! We have us a player at last at Spurs who is strong and wants to win. He did for England what he has been doing for us. Just Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CoySpurs.......................................................................

You know those shows where someone, who hasn't got a clue, secretly wears an earpiece while being directed by an expert hidden away in a state of the art control centre.

You do?
Well that's how we ended up looking so sweet against the Germans.
Woy the puppet
Poch the master

Well you don;t know anything about politics...that's for sure...

Forgotten more than you will ever know.

Or maybe we just have different opinions on some subjects, and opinions are just that people's opinions and often vary, if you have any intelligence you would probably understand that, so maybe I need to say it again for you, people have different opinions on subjects, does not make either person wrong and if not inciting hatred or violence then people should be allowed to express those opinions.

I never feel the need to tell people who think differently from me that they are wrong about something but I guess I am more open minded then you, odd to bring politics into a thread about the English national team. Shame on you, shame on you.
