I aint no Sheikh-but lets talk weather

-14, -19, -16, the temperature when I woke up these last days. Just two and a half month to go, if we're lucky. :-({|=

My hands this evening was frozen when i came home. I need to some gloves - in the meantime may wear some socks on my hands

We were -6 this morning, and it hardly broke freezing today.

Not quite the same though, is it?

This time 2 years ago we were under record snowfalls. Remember that?

Surprised you remember that - what with the amnesia etc ;)

I despise this weather! I suffer from eczema, the colder the weather is, the more itchy and sore my skin becomes. Plus you have a more consistent temperature in the spring/summer whereas you're constantly going from central heating, to freezing, icy winds during winter, both dry the skin out.

I need to move to a warmer climate. I checked my the weather for where my uncle lives in Florida on my weather app, and it's 27 degrees celsius today, sigh...

This week will get progressively colder but I'm keeping an eye on what will happen in the coming weeks. yesterday there was a sudden stratospheric warming which was forecasted to happen. This should blow apart the polar vortex and send cold and low pressure down to lower latitudes. When this happens we are more likely to get northern blocking as high pressure takes over in the arctic.

The computer models seem to be having trouble getting to grips with how it will all pan out and is something to keep an eye out for.
