I aint no Sheikh-but lets talk weather

Anyone else about to be hit by the blizzards tomorrow? It's been snowing since about 4pm but not really sticking. Tomorrow from about 6am onwards the big flakes are expected to turn up.

Well according to forecasts it snows in London tomorrow morning and doesn't stop until Saturday afternoon.

South west trains, being the ****s they are, have cancelled loads of routes... Off the back of predicted snow

Not actual snow...predicted snow

Hope the weather comes through for them

We had that earlier this week, cancelling trains blaming snow when it hadnt even snowed with Greater Anglia, they took a pasting in the press for doing it..

Took me 4 hours to get to the city yesterday morning (50 mins journey), because our line has 40 & 25 year old rolling stock still in operation due to decades of under-investment in the region they keep breaking down in the cold weather, they do act like this winter malarky is a unusual occurence though, so under-prepared its unreal..

If this generation had been around for WW2 we wouldve lost the war 100%, absolutely pathetic

Apparently some of the companies ran ghost trains through the night to keep the tracks clear. All looking pretty ominous.

Deciding if I should drive in or not today, don't want to have to leave the car at work.

Snow is so over-rated.

Ours wouldnt do that as it would cost money to do that, its easy for them to cancel loads of trains then thats services they dont have to pay to run plus it means they have more leeway with delays on the other running services so they wont get delay fines..

Broken Britain

Some good friends of mine are po-po, total garbage wage considering the brick they have to put up with.

Same here. I know at least half a dozen coppers.

Without fail, several times a week, they'll come back with a decent story to tell.

The brick they put up with is incredible, and you rarely read about it in the papers.

It's funny going out with them in the car, as he points at all the building where the sex offenders live. Scary numbers

Hills were white an hour ago.......but now laying it down rapidly at the seaside (witterings) easily 2 inches already

Started at 8am in Crawley

Its settling well, but seems quite fine at the moment.

Now forecasting a big hit for the SE corner on sunday too. My missus is supposed to drive to Swansea either Sunday evening or Monday morning for a few days.
Last time she went was Novemeber 2010 when the big fall hit, and she got trapped on the M25 for 7 hours, getting home at 3.30 the next morning having left Swansea 11 hours earlier.

I'm trying to make her understand she should cancel, but will she listen? No.

It's very snowy in Liverpool. And have to go out in it a few times as well, it'll be okay today but it turns in to black ice in a day or two, which will be a pain in the arse

FFS. Kids sent home from school with just 1-2 inches of snow on the ground. Bunch of pussies.

Where I grew up (Warlingham, Surrey) we lived high up on a hill and had some incredible snow at times. I remember walking several miles in over a foot of snow countless times, and the only thing that closed school was the heating packing up.

Nation of tarts, we've become.
