Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

Would you keep Arry after the Season?

  • Yes - He's done well and should be given at least one more season to consolidate our team

Just to be clear, that's 1 win in 9 compared to 2 point in 8.

Wasn't our run without more than one win actually longer than 9 games last season?

Although I think the comparison is a fair one, quite a few similarities between our current run and the run in those 8 games under Ramos. Things not going our way, bit of bad luck, some very good players not performing, that overall feel that we could play forever without scoring...

No no no - how the fudge is that ina nutshell.

How many are thankful we didnt spend 25m on Suarez?

How about Forlan at high wages and at 32? - the same criticism is aimed at Harry for getting in LOANS on "high" wages and these are just loans. GHod forbid if he got in a 32 yr old on such high wages who failed.

Huntelaar? ill give you that one but what the fudge are we saying when we say Redknapp could have had huntelaar? Maybe harry did go for Huntelaar but Levy was the one who didnt make the deal?

We do not know what Harrys transfer targets were but what I can guarantee (a fudgein fair assumption) Saha was not on that list.

The main point was we could have had those players but Redknapp does not seem to want any palyers he knows nothing about. The money was on the table for Huntelarr but Redknapp said he would rather have Pav and Crouch, he is a wheeler dealer and always looks short term.

You're comparing apples and oranges stats wise and there's plenty of other threads to complain about Harry in.

I think you're a good poster to have who puts some interesting opinions about, but why are you trying to fill in the gap johnkent left?

I've not seen an implosion this bad in my 24 years watching Spurs.

Now Ramos' start to 08/09 was pretty dreadful, but to be fair we had sold all our forwards from underneath him.

Redknapp now has our best team since '87 (possibly '91), yet we're pushing Wolves hard for being the biggest pushovers in the league at the moment.

So whose failure is greatest?

The only thing with the Ramos stat is, you also have to remember we only won 1 of the 7 matches of the previous season, or 2 in the last 10.
Bearing that in mind, his run of 2 wins in 18 League games gets my vote

Ramos had his two best strikers sold on deadline day and replaced with Frazier Campbell, Harry's had 7 windows with pretty much free reign in the transfer market. I think Ramos' is the worse run, but both deserve sackings.

Hang on - was Harry not quoted as saying that he did want Huntelaar? So how can we say he didnt want him? Harry identifies - Levy negotiates. So you cant actually blame Harry. This is my point.

Our wage structure restricts us - cant blame Levy for that cant blame harry for that but people on here seem to blame Harry. This is ANOTHER point that seems to go over peoples heads.

This failure will cost us much more too - ?ú40m (CL revenue), Modric, Bale, decent incomings and a top class manager for next season.

=D>

Harry also said we could've had Rossi for ?ú18m. A few months later we were supposedly bidding ?ú30m-?ú35m for him.

If they want to go then the new manager will probably tell Levy to just get as much for them as possible.
