Sadly the EL exclusion says it all as barring mass injuries in central midfield, its quite possible he wont get any more minutes this season.

He's not worth more than £15m and even that feels like a stretch. There will need to be a lot of movement on the fee to make it an option.

I'm a bit perplexed by people's keenness on him. He's ok but hasn't shown more than that. It's difficult to know what his best position is or see a possible route to the first team. I can see that he's useful to have on the bench though because of his flexibility.

With the depth we now have it’s hard to find a place for him on the bench. I just don’t see how he will get another minutes to prove his worth, if anything we should loan him back to Benfica as I’m sure he has more chance of getting pitch time there and then we’d decide to sign him off the back for those performances :D

The writing is on the wall for Gedson. He'll go back to Benfica, will be sold to some Portuguese second div team, do well there, get sold to ... Parma, they make him a striker, he'll bang in a few goals, get a new transfer to Roma, he'll bang in more goals, and our current manager by then, some guy from Austria we haven't heard of now, will want to buy him, but he doesn't want to re-join us, and joins Leeds instead, who'll win their second consecutive PL title because of him.

So sad, so sexy. :p

There is always a high turnover of players where Mourinho is a manager. I don't think that he's done much here to justify more playing time than he's had. It is probably best for everyone if he leaves in January.
 
Was a squad filler of a signing in January when Jose wanted numbers. Just surprised it was for 18months.
 
I think he’s got good natural talent and we will regret letting him go!
But I sadly don’t see him getting games.
 
Think he could have become the new sissoko in being a good utility player but less the physical presence and more of technical ability instead.

But obviously at the moment sissoko blocks his space in the squad and whilst sissoko is getting on now it isnt worth spending 50m to replace him.

If levy could work his magic and get the 50m down to about 12m then that would make it worthwhile.
