To me exaggerating the injury is a bigger crime. But I am not naive so I had accepted his departure a long time ago. I am over him. only the most naive of people expected him not to go Madrid after the last 4 weeks

Bales been isolated from the rest of the squad over the whole summer - why all of a sudden are the club going to be asking him to turn up to WHL for a game? they won't - he will have been told/asked to stay away by the club - for the same reasons he has been left out at training - to try and keep the circus away from the rest of the squad so they can keep as much focus as possible.

I don't think anyone is calling him a mercenary, in fact, most of us understand why he wants to go to Real. People are just disappointed with the way he has handled it and some people are mocking him because he's obsessed with copying his idol Ronaldo, ok it's mostly me mocking him

However, I have to agree with this post:
The deal was done in principle a long time ago (perhaps even in the special relationship announced on the Modric exit), Bale's isolation is consistent with this and nothing he has done this summer deserves particular criticism.
