I agree with you. I even think I argued earlier this window (perhaps in this thread) that Lamela would be unrealistic, Roma wouldn't sell, bigger clubs would be in for him and so on. I would be absolutely delighted to be wrong about that one though!

I see pjanic as a deeplying playmaker rather than a number 10. His problem is that even though he looks like a big lad, he gets knocked off the ball rather easily in the same way Siggy does for us.
I think he'd need to play in a 3 man midfield in the premiership rather than a 2 man one. He's a fantastic passer of the ball though but isnt much threat on goal himself at number 10.
I havent seen much of dzagoev since he was outstanding at the Euros. I have no faith in a Russian player coming to the premier league and doing well though. If he eventually does end up in England I think it will be as another Abramovich buy.

Regardless who is better or worse, it's marginal. We need another player of the same sort of calibre to move forwards and challenge the top 3. That's a tough ask in 10 days
