he is flying from London to Birmingham? cant he get a car or train like any normal person

Best case scenario:
Villa sign him on loan and pay his wages, he'll play well for the lure of a contract. Ineligible to play against us so can't run the length of WHL to celebrate. End of the season everyone walks away.

Sounds good to me. Such a frustrating player. He could be up there with the best with the physical tools that he has. But his total lack of interest and desire is all too easy to see. When we signed him I thought our striker woes were over. For one season they were. Then he dropped back to type and just cared about the money he was earning.

Cant wait for him to be gone now. If Adebayor had Soldado's work ethic we would have one hell of a striker. Instead we have one who does not care and one who is compete gash.

20 mins on the plane. 3 hours in a car. I know which i prefer.
20 mins on the plane, plus half an hour to airport, plus hour at airport, plus delays, plus half an hour disembarking at the other end, plus half an hour from airport to final destination. All while being shouted at by distorted voices on the tanoy system, poked and prodded by security and hassled at every turn.

Or 3 hours in the car listening to my own music?

Different folks and all that... but I know which I prefer (I'd happily go the rest of my life without stepping foot in another airport if it were practical).

I get your point. But internal flights from say City Airport are not the same. turn up 30 mins before flight. Not as much hassle with security etc. And straight out the other end. But yeah! id take a car ;)

Someone on more affordable wages? They don't strike me as a club who pay massive wages, then again neither do we....

They have a lot of money in kitty from Benteke sale ..

I suspect the deal structure would look like, 5M or so to Spurs, a significant sign on bonus to Ade and lesser wages (same money, more upfront for him and it appears like his wages are lighter). Either way, they sign one striker for 32M, get in a replacement their manager wants, and probably put out no more than 9-10M ... not bad math if Sherwood can get Ade's head sorted (and to compare, similar to last season with Benteke, a run of 10 games in form would be all they would need for survival).
