If all Johnson can do is ghost in at the back for a tap...why don't we do that more often.

Ange does not play to the strengths of what this team can do....in fact he does the opposite.

I thought the same. Put a hell of a lot of work in chasing and pressing their defenders as usual. Just wish he'd get through balls nearer the goal instead of just having to run all the time.

That said, Bournemouth defenders are quite strong and know his game well. He gave us more of a platform to try and work from than what you imagine the likes of Tel or Son would/could

Think is that's what Ange uses him for, a fudging pressing workhorse and a pivot for the other players to work off, vs. really being the goal threat. The scarcity of chances he gets per match is clear.

This system is so brick .. we crowd out our wingers who want space and we use our CF as a fudging donkey ..

Its funny, if you look back at this thread, I mentioned very early on into his time with us the lack of chances we were creating for him. It was early, so most people deemed it nothing to worry about, yet now everyone sees it.

Mane and Salah in their prime were both goal scoring and creative wide men. We in comparison have a physically spent Son and Johnson who cant do anything accept score tap-ins at the back post. Its not any sort of comparison.

Salah is in the his prime right now. Getting better.
