Definitely not an out of car window Transfer Thread

Aren't the rules soon changing to prevent such long contracts?

Chelsea throwing money to game the system even further in their favour then before they can't do this any more

Not preventing the contracts i don't think. Just spreading the amortisation. Could be wrong though.

Changing in the summer. Can't change the rules mid-window I guess.
And yes, it's limiting the period over which the fee can be written down. The actual contract can be longer - yet I have a funny feeling we won't be seeing any contracts more than 5 years in length from next window.

Yeah
They are setting accounting standards
If they haven’t cleared the previous amortisation too they will still have a huge amount to deal with
I said to you before I think they may have cleared it and people said there is a standard… clearly there wasn’t

Is the chelsea striker a compensation thing, or have they actually agreed a fee with us?

Would be interesting if the latter, as it'll be the first business between the clubs since cudicini/the modric affair

I'd be really surprised if we make another signing after Porro

I think we will try for one more. But perhaps surprising if we get both Porro and one more over the line.

Gil loan deal looking at least somewhat likely. Do not quite understand Gil out, Danjuma in and no more business in attacking areas. Unless Conte really trusts Moura for the rest of the season?
