Definitely not an out of car window Transfer Thread

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

I guess shame on Spurs for letting him go in the first place... I think he will be a huge talent in 5 years. Don't fret though, Crystal Palace and Spurs can get a few shiny pennies for the development sell-on fee to buy some top-class talent!
Not sure we get any
It would have been when he went to PSV surely

our youth system is poor, we're unable to find the right talents under our nose and yet we have a shortage of them coming through
was it under mason that madueke was let go?

He wasn't let go. The fa changed the rules so agents couldn't get a fee for u18s signing contracts. So a few moved their young players to the continent. Promising them to get more game time. Madueke was one of them.

It was the Jadon Sancho wave then too - i.e. that season he'd gone straight from City academy to bossing it at the top of the Bundesliga.

Something I was thinking last night was that other than Romero and (perhaps) Davies our central defenders aren't really suited to Conte's 3 at the back system and yet the club don't seem to have done anything about it.

There are two players with only six months left on their contracts who could make a real positive difference to us immediately in De Vrij, who would be a massive upgrade on Dier and Ndicka who would be a big upgrade on Lenglet/Davies. Both of those players could probably also adapt to play in a 2 if we should change tack in future.

I’m amazed we haven’t gone for De Vrij
I don’t rate him but he knows the way conte wants to play

I wonder what Paratici going to be doing in the next 30 months? Will we sign anyone?

I think Paratici has done really well so far

- Jan 22 window was excellent for a Jan window given Kulu and Benatancur
- summer 22 window: richie was a very good deal, Bisouma was an excellent signing given his performacnes in the PL for the last few years, Lenglet a reasonable loan, Forster saved us some cash for a keep and was HG, Spence a very good prospect etc
