Nah, I get that but is it pain that the player can play with? If it was say ankle ligaments, you'd be worried about turning that ankle again. If it was knee ligaments, you'd be worried about the twisting movements or pressure through the joint. I'm not sure how it manifests itself with that specific ligament, that's all.
All I'm saying is that players play with a little pain through these injuries all the time. We also know that, rightly or wrongly, they have injections as well to allow them to play. I'm not in the camp where I'm going to berate the player or club/international medics for making this call. It's just one of those things that happens in football.
