Not that it matters but I have no issue with what he had to say. I don't want players who don't have the ambition to be at the top clubs in the world. I just want Spurs to be in that list.

Totally serious. If we take our rose tinted glasses off, he is good, but not world class, it would take world class money to get him. Nowhere near Hazzard for example. We talklike he is sometimes. Eriksen is the player who frustrates me the most, he has all the attributes to be genuinely world class but isnt.
I admit he has been class for the last 20 games but where was he in the first 20 when we needed to turn draws into wins? Many forget that part of his season.
I think you have rose tinted glasses on re other players? where was Hazard when he fudged off for an entire season?
Eriksen is a superior player to Hazard in my opinion, Eriksen may have periods on mediocre form, but he never hides, which separates him from a lot of supposedly wc players.

Wowzers.... that is some statement. totally disagree btw, i think if we had Hazard in place of Eriksen this year we would have won the leage, he has been that good this season, phenomenal player.
Alli out scored and assisted Hazard this season and would be a better comparison as they are both primarily there as goalscoring midfielders. If you include Son then he too out-performed Hazard in terms of productivity if you factor in time on the pitch.
Eriksen is far more productive than all three in terms of creativity but is behind all in terms of goals scored - I think you are over stating how good Hazard is tbh, or under rating Eriksen, all three of our players mentioned are well on his level, no question

I think hazard over rated
His scoring stats aren't the best in the league in his position and his assist stats aren't either so what does excel at?
To be ranked and rated as high as he is for me he should be at least the best at something
He was outscored by Dele who also doesn't take penalties
He doesnt make the top 10 for passing accuracy or assists
He was at one point the most fouled player but he doesnt even have that title anymore
So I'll ask, other than the hype what is he better than erisken at for example?

Sorry but I have to question this. World class? Who cares? Firstly being world class is an opinion, so it doesnt matter whether I or you think he . is or not. Secondly, do you think Barcelona have eleven world class players in their team? Er no, not even close. Top players go up a level when they play at a bigger club, and there is no doubt Eriksen would at Barca, so if he isnt world class now he certainly would be by the time hes carved out a career there. Eriksen would slot in seamlessly with the way Barcelona play, and if you cant see that I can only question your judgement....

We are all entitled to our opinion but i think Eriksen has only shown what he is capable of in the last 20 games and even that isnt over a full season. Over previous seasons he was hot and cold from one game to the next.
I am delighted Eriksen has finally started producing in the consistantly 8/10 performances on a weekly basis and contributing more in terms of important goals and assists. If he carries on then you can argue he is better than Hazard but remember, Hazard, last season aside, has been delivering consitantly.
I wonder how anyone, until last Christmas, would have had Eriksen over Hazard...
Why you bringing Hazard into this? Your comment was 'not enough of a big game player to play for Barca' - Both him and Hazard could play for Barca no problems, its as simple as that....
