Christian Eriksen

Is it just me thinking that he has had a good goal scoring record at Swansea too? I'm sure he scored two there in 2-2 draw, and scored against them the year before too.

He has continued to excel. I was very critical of him early season because I felt he was allowing a weak mentality to affect his game. The ability is absolutely there, the touch, vision, skill, all of it. And now he has found his head, his mentality, his belief. When Hazza got hurt, I commented that it didn't worry me so much because it appeared that Eriksen was taking charge and able to step up/chip in along with Alli. He most certainly has. Well done to Eriksen, and whatever it is that has given him renewed, sustained confidence, fantastic and don't let go of it!!!

It's not too shabby a record, both goals last season (as you said) plus the second goal in our 2-1 win there in 14/15.

@HotspurRelated
Christian Eriksen has now scored 6 goals in his last 6 appearances against Swansea City. #COYS

@OptaJoe
10 - Christian Eriksen has been directly involved in 10 goals in his seven Premier League games against Swansea (6 goals, 4 assists). Habit.

What a beautiful goal he scored. The pass from Dele split their defence and Eriksen with a lovely drop of the shoulder to put the defender off balance and a nice calm finish. Some of his passing has been exceptional recently too.
He's a classy player who is starting to deliver on a consistent basis now.

Sky are starting to get the message
After another fine performance from Christian Eriksen in Tottenham’s late turnaround at Swansea, Adam Bate looks at why the Dane might be the most underpraised player in the Premier League…

I now await the start of the inevitable "Eriksen to Manure/Chelski/City/Liverpool" stories, who is prerequisite for this further limelight Sky is talking about. He won't get the praise he deserves unless he joins one of the Sky Four.

He is, and he's stepped up to making things happen, while he's been good for a bit now, seems like with Kane out, he's actually taking some extra responsibility.
glad he has stepped up, this is what we need from him, some more committed tackling and risk taking going forwards.

i was a huge critic of him earlier on this season, and am glad to see that I am not any more.

Yes, it's Inevitable.

We are building up quite a list of players who are coveted by other clubs. And right now I'm sure they'll all have to go find themselves other players to covet.

Janssen's holdup and layoff was really good play to kick start the move too....

10 assists in the PL. Only Sigurdsson and De Bruyne have more (11). 7 goals as well. Combine that with Dele (15 goals, 5 assists), Son (9 goals, 3 assists) and Kane (19 goals, 4 assists) and we have a deadly front 4!

I sometimes like reading the start of player threads for the fun of it, and this one was particularly funny. :p
Just went back through some of that thread and had to relive the nightmare of Sherwood as our manager.

That didn't really happen did it? Please tell me it was all a bad dream......

he's been a different player since the turn of the year, it's wonderful to see, he's impacting every game, he's always the most talented player on the pitch and now he's playing like he knows it

Looked at the game again (without pressure of not knowing result)

Some of Eriksen's passing was beyond sublime, there was a pass early to Son, fudge, through about 5 Swansea players ..
