Christian Eriksen

Ive been his biggest critic, mainly because i know he can do so much better. He is starting to show his quality again and its great to see. Like ive always said, if he played to his potential every week he would probably be at a bigger club.

He has been in the top 2 players in the PL in terms of his output for both of the past two years. That despite the fact that he has to work harder than pretty much all of his creative peers at other clubs. He has been showing his quality consistently for a long while. Yes he has the odd off day, but so does every player in the World - especially those in teams who aren't always able to dominate the game.

:D You're funny.
It was one of those dreams where I started off climbing into bed with Jessica Alba.... Only to find myself shagging Pat Butcher out of Eastenders half way through.... Just before waking up she turns into Kirstie Allsopp, which by Jessica's standard's is of course a nightmare, but compared to Pat Butcher is a big improvement ;)

I assume you've seen what professionals are saying about Sherwood lately, right? And what professionals are saying about AVB?

Those best placed to offer opinions on both seem to rate AVB and dislike Sherwood. In fact, I was told today that Sherwood's nickname in the industry is Slips - as in slippery. Dodgy fudger all round.

He is a special player ( we have a few who are top rate but we would miss him more then others imo), he came here at 21 and over the last couple of seasons he has become world class ( although i am sure there are some who will disagree). He makes my pants sticky and we would have a BIG problem if we lost him to injury's like Kane Rose and others have suffered this season.

He is there now, would really love to see him close out this season and give a full consistent season next (and maybe that means Poch has to give him some rest/rotation for domestic cups).

It's been mentioned before, but Poch has to keep building the side in a way that allows Dele & Eriksen (3 at back has been big factor) freedom, the more freedom they have, the more dangerous we are, the harder we are to deal with/shutdown.

I am not sure off the top of my head but i do not think he misses many games through injury either, when you consider how much ground he covers during a game, then to stay injury free is remarkable.

We do have a very good team ATM

We do. Usually we would have a weak link, now there is none in the first team, only a Sissoko in the squad. Other than buying one of the elite, how do we improve our team? As above, I struggle to make which player needs to be upgraded upon.

He doesn't but he's run the most distance out of any Spurs player in 19 of our games this season. I'd prefer we find an option to rotate with him, save him next season for PL & CL (hopefully), just to keep him fresher, mentally as well as physically.

One of the worst moments in Spurs history when Sherwood was appointed permanent manager. I hate him.

It would be ideal but getting someone who is as good as him will be very hard ( mega money, and wages) and then how do we keep them both happy. If Lamela comes back fit then we have a option there i guess, but at the moment as i said earlier he is the one player we have to play as he is our heartbeat.

We have the best balanced first 11 in league in my opinion.

You partially answered the question
- To win against big teams, we need an elite player (Bale example), too often those games are a lot of canceling each other out until a single WC play changes something.
- The squad can improve, we need an option for Eriksen in lesser games, would still like to see the type of player that Poch is obviously looking for out wide (N'Jie/GKN)
- Long term ( 2 season out at least), Dembele will be tough to replace.

Not trying to replace him (almost impossible for the points you state), I think of it more as the Winks for Dembele play.

Could we find a young player that we could take Eriksen off for 10 minutes at end of games we are comfortable in, and who could start early round league and FA cup games, 8 less games a season, with a few he gets to sub early could make a difference.

He's like all those chavs who take pride in not being intelligent. As if never having read a book or applying reasoning are things to be proud of.

It would be a good idea if we could, to be honest though i would not have any idea who. I no longer watch our youth teams on a regular basis so not sure what we have coming through. And to be honest the only thing that keeps me interested in football is my love of Spurs so i have no real knowledge of who is out there playing elsewhere who could step in for him.

Kane and Alli are our players for that. Eriksen too. Kane and Alli have won us the big points against those top sides. And how exactly do you measure who is 'elite'? If you post Kane & Alli's stats, are they not of top class players? Eriksen has the ability to change games from a deeper position.

I think belief was missing from the team that we really could challenge. I think we've well on the way to finding that belief. The team
Simply never gives up.
