Cheatski are still scum

And had Arsenal not blown it against Norwich, then we wouldn't have had the chance to even attempt to get third. And had we not blown a 10 point lead then Arsenal wouldn't have been in the position to finish 3rd. And if Arsenal hadn't have had such a dreadful start to the season then we wouldn't have been 10pts clear etc etc.

When will people learn football NEVER works that way? Or are Spurs fans just born moaners? #-o

your the born moaner!

moaning at spurs fans who want to be winners...secondly this forum is about oppinions ..so go and stuff yourself MK.

Spot on.

I don't think we stand a rats chance in hell of winning the PL, or the CL until that does happen. Unless we can fight the likes of Chelski, Emirates Marketing Project, Real Madrid, AC Milan and suchlike, on a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD (and by that, think money.....), we have not got a hope of catching the elite and winning the top honours. Not a prayer.

I do assume that it is winning the top honours that Spurs fans do ultimately want??

The degree of treading water that we have done for the last 2 decades will just continue until we get new big money backing, and it isn't until then that we will attract a world class manager and players/squad to achieve that end.

All we need is the new stadium and we'll be able to generate more income than all teams but United in the League.
Uefa will stop any new owners coming in investing in players. City and Chelsea will have to find new revenue streams to fund their squads.
The reality is Arsenal, United and us are set to prosper under the new rules.

And so onto season ticket 27!

Can't wait.

I ask myself.. what's the point if we're never going to win the league. Over the last 5 or 6 years the question is starting to grind.

I honestly feel I am not in love with it any more!

I'm in a proper low tonight.. and I cannot shift the feeling.

I cannot get my head round celebrating 4th, yeah its great to maybe playing champion's league football... but is that it, is that all, is that the point of it all, for now and for the forseeable future.

Should one accept and be happy about just winning individual league games. Thing is I've done that brick for 26 years now.

I'm starting to think we are all fricken crazy.

y'all do know Chelsea were in the Champions League and won Trophy's like FA Cup & European Cup Winners Cup BEFORE Abramovich, right?

I would have been tinkled off in the past not sure why im not that tinkled off.

I guess simply put I have every confidence in Bayern winning.

I also suppose that if we are not in it I have every confidence that we will be top four next season.

Was I the only one who got goosebumps watching MOTD when they scored 2 in the last minute? Dont know, can't stand City and everything they stand for, but I couldn't help feel how amazing it would be if it was us

The only thing I'm jealous about with regards to Arsenal is that Thomas goal in the last minute at Anfield, must have been on another level to see that go in. Winning the title like City did in such dramatic fashion must be exhilarating - but they still bought it.

The team that pays the highest wages wins the league?

fudge me, tell me something I don't fudging know

This is the premier league. It has always been won by the big spenders...

Funny, that's what people said about us in the 60s when we bought or tried to buy all the big names. Spurs buying the double and the cups...

Can you not see the hypocrisy?
That really is ludicrous.

There's a massive difference between a club bringing in money from supporters going through the turnstiles, and using that money to sign great players such as Jimmy Greaves compared to an oil merchant buying a club and using it as a glorified kid's toy. If you believe (like you said earlier) that it doesn't matter where the money has come from then you're completely mistaken. Any club that EARNS the right to pay such high transfer sums deserves to reap the rewards. City don't at all.

I cannot believe that I've seen such a comment on this forum.

'The game is about glory' - and we had a glorious side in '61 - and used that to bring in some other great players.

What's your point?

The only reason they won the league was because of Abramovich's investment - and yet they still finished 6th this season!

I'm saying Chelsea and Emirates Marketing Project are/were not in the same situation. City really would be nothing without Mansour but Chelsea were already near the top, not League winners but still Cup winners & CL qualifiers before Abramovich even got involved with them. So it's not right to put them in the same bracket.

Would either have won the league without the financial backing that they received? VERY unlikely. So, for me, they're definitely in the same bracket. Chelsea were arguably worse in the first few years!

Chelsea were going tits up financially behind the scenes before Abramovich came in. They couldn't buy anyone that season and couldn't even afford to pay Di Matteo 1.5m compensation when he retired injured.

I'm glad City won, I don't know how many of our best players Manure has to unsettle and take, how many more games we have to get bogus decisions against us playing them, or how many more years they have to be our fudging bogey side to cure the love fest for them here, fudge them, great how it was taken from them.

The "pure" game died decades ago (if it really ever existed), it's a commercial business.

Manure no trophy for first time in 7 years, Scum now on 7 years without a trophy, Pool finish way out of races below Everton, Cheat$ki finish 2 spots below us having had another manger crisis (and truely carrying an aging squad), how is that a bad season?

Chelsea were worse because they would have been bankrupt having spends beyond their means for years to achieve CL and silverware. This is precisely the same type of financial doping that Rangers are rightly being punished and derided for in the SPL. An SFA report on Rangers stated that amassing debts and not paying taxes to maintain success is almost as serious an offence as match fixing. That's what Chelsea did, they should have gone the same way as Leeds, but Abramovich bailed them out and they face no punishment.

Hollow 'success'.

They haven't proved anything, other than that you can take a brick club, throw billions at it, and win things. Wow, hardly rocket science.

Fulop is an absolute f.cking loser. Embarrassed for him. Hodgson looks more and more like wozzel gummage every day, makes me laugh. Horrible season, some real humiliating results, very painful, and a very painful final day. Be hard next year, chelsea will spend big, i think arse will make some decent signings, united and city both will get stronger along with making others weaker. Whats the deal with this FFP rules? whens all that supposed to kick in?
