Bundesliga Bonestroker Thread

Re: Other Premier League Matches Thread

HSV vs Dortmund is maaaaaaaaaaasive today for Hamburg.

This should be a great game!

Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim could be goals galore as well.

If I were a betting man I'd put a bit of cash on a minimum of 5 goals in that game.

I'm loving the Bundesliga this season! Then Rapid vs Groedig later. Must win for Rapid.

Indeed! 7 defeats in a row whilst sitting a point off the bottom

What has happened to them?

Edit: Just seen the highlights are at 11pm tonight on BT Sport.

At boardroom level they are a complete farce, plus they're skint and the quality of the team is appalling, its just been getting corroded season after season.

Stuttgart are even worse though.

Re: Other Premier League Matches Thread

Stuttgart have an offer on today where each season ticket holder can bring two mates to the game for free. Just have to pay 2.50eur for the shuttle.

Not bad.

AE, not Bundesliga, but German national team question.

I'm assuming the national team will still play a 4-2-3-1 looking formation come the World Cup, who would be your tip for the 3 attacking midfielders to be given the go for Germany at the start of the tournament?

Reus - Ozil - Müller

I would probably guess a starting three of Reus, Goetze and Oezil. Maybe Mueller in for Reus.

But Loew definitely has his favourites so I surprisingly wouldn't rule out a starting role for Podolski as unlikely as that sounds.

Loew definitely has soft spots for players you wouldn't expect to get in the team based on technical ability such as Heiko Westermann, Podolski and still Klose.

Leverkusen's season falling apart; out the cup to a division 2 team, losing again the league. They were looking a shoe in for CL before the break...

Interesting to see what Dieter Hecking is capable of at Wolfsburg. Did a seriously good job at Nuremberg and has some pretty talented players at Wolfsburg.

Wouldn't mind seeing them get a CL spot to be honest, although I also quite like what Lucien Favre is doing at Gladbach. The battle behind Bayern should go to the wire.

Cheers guys.

Amazing depth in attacking ability.

How far off a starting spot is Kroos do you guys think?

I can understand Loew to some extent, you need some experienced heads to carry the torch. I think one of the mistakes made by England quite frequently is trusting in youngsters too much for the tournaments. You need level headed players with experience. To some extent the World Cup is an old man's tournament imo, although there are exceptions of course.

I don't think Kroos is THAT far off, but he has such strong players around him that he's just going to need to be given a chance and take it with both hands. Khedira is looking likely to miss the World Cup so that's a huge plus for Kroos. I mean they could play him deep alongside Schweinsteiger and just have Mueller, Reus, Gotze, Ozil etc. run riot in front of them.

I mean the depth, like you say is crazy. Still have the likes of Gundogan, Sven and Lars Bender as well who can come and play central midfield.

I would expect one of the Benders (still like saying that) to come in if Khedira is out, Schweinsteiger and Kroos looks just a bit soft as a deep pairing in a 4-2-3-1.

Will be a close fight for those positions too though, I really rate Gundogan and like AE pointed out in another thread Schweinsteiger has been injured a bit.

Fantastic squad either way. Even with Westermann ;)
