Brandon Austin

The keepers are quite often off with the GK coach doing their specialist thing. I'm assuming Ange leans on Rob Burch quite a lot for the calls he has to make.
Forster is the biggest character at the training ground and has seen/done it all, so I'm sure he has great rapport with Burchy and knows he is nearing The End of his career.

was brave and did well coming out and under physical pressure
i don't he could have saved the goal if he remained on the line - well placed free headers at the far post back across goal are hard to stop
I feel like the defender could have a got closer. Don't know who it was

Kinski is a good buy and rather opportunistic...which is how we swing these days.

Austin looks good enough as #2 and woth the potential to challenge vicario. Who is the weakest keeper in the epl when under physical duress.

A couple of questions though.

1. Looks like we are prioritising opportunistic buys instead of immediate needs - experienced outfield players.

2. we suddenly have way too many keepers even if we disregard forster and whiteman. Will vicario and Austin stay?

I'd imagine yes, our first choice goalkeeper will stay

Highly likely the last time he plays for us last night with Kinksy and Vicario in front of him. Glad he managed to grab a clean sheet even if he didn’t have to do much for it. Be interesting to see what happens with him. You imagine he’ll be with us till the summer but then might be looking to get a move.

Has proven himself a capable third choice. Probably up to him and he wants next in his career.

That is how i see it as well, now he has had a taste for first team football he may decide to go and play for another club who is willing to give him more first team games.

It's an interesting decision.

Play every week, for a small wage, lesser long term security, crap training facilities and old cold stadiums
VS
Stay as a training partner and have a solid and comfortable life playing training games and being around a top quality environment

Good points and i guess we will see, however most guys who get to play at a pro level do so because thay want to play. Of course they are those who think the money is important but playing time at a good level is what counts. I guess we shall see.
