Brandon Austin

It's an interesting decision.

Play every week, for a small wage, lesser long term security, crap training facilities and old cold stadiums
VS
Stay as a training partner and have a solid and comfortable life playing training games and being around a top quality environment
He's only on 15k a week, he'll get that even in the Championship.

He would in the top end of the championship.
It'll depend who is looking for a GK - he'll be looking at mid table championship or lge1 and almost all clubs at that level have short term finances.
He could easily find himself club less in 3 years and scrabbling for a lge2 contract. Only 92 first choice GK roles available - is he in that top 92, and can stay there?

Even middle of the championship pay more than that, looked at Angus Gunn for Norwich (mid table) and he is on 25k a week.
If he's looking to move I can't see him being willing to drop below championship level.

Norwich should be higher than mid table.
Angus Gunn was in the PL with Norwich and Norwich had parachute payments until this season - their finances are Championship+.
Gunn is unlikely to get a renewal at that kind of level if Norwich continue to perform at mid table.

Austin is unproven over a full season, so any well run club will start him off low and increase once he proves himself.
