Barca might be a better fit
Yes, at the moment obviously, but he wouldn't be coming back to England so soon anyway. If he ever did some back it would only be after he had had some more success in other leagues and restored his reputation. If he carries on the same as he is atm i think he could have a shot at the Real job in a few years, especially as i cant see Rafa lasting more than a few seasons there, who does anyway?
Absolutely.strange the way English people tend to dismiss other leagues.

The Sherwood analogy is a terrible one. It's the 7th best league in Europe. Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't Zenit one of, if not the richest clubs in Russia? I don't see any top managers managing in that league. To use the Sherwood analogy, surely if he was a better manager he would be at a bigger club?
The Sherwood analogy is a terrible one.
If managers got the jobs they deserved then Sherwood would be Assistant Coach at Doncaster Girls Under 7s.
It's would be more accurate to say that Spurs got roughly the same results despite him.? He more or less got the same results as AVB did at Spurs.

The facts back it up.In your mind yes. In reality, both coaches had major flaws and good points but ultimately were not the right fit for the club.
Sorry scara but that's nonsense. Southampton and Everton are playing in one the toughest leagues in the world against the likes of Utd, city, Chelsea, Liverpool, scum and us. Zenit's league is no where near as competitive.Absolutely.
I'd say he's already working at a far higher level than Everton or Southampton.
What's competitive about a league where only 2 clubs can win?Sorry scara but that's nonsense. Southampton and Everton are playing in one the toughest leagues in the world against the likes of Utd, city, Chelsea, Liverpool, scum and us. Zenit's league is no where near as competitive.
A league where any team, on any given day, can beat any other team. That only 2-3 teams can achieve the required consistency over a season to win the league is neither here nor there but it means that no manager can sit back and expect to win a game, preparation has to be intense. Zenit are not up against such competition in Russia and neither were Porto in Portugal. What's competitive about a league where only 2 clubs can win?
It's a uniquely English trait to overestimate the quality of our league. For an accurate representation just look at the CL and the ITV4 Cup - our league is not that good.

It will not surprise me at all to see him manager at Madrid or Barca one day.

Captain Bellend significantly increased both our expected goals scored and conceded per game. This was when Ade was on a ridiculous hot streak and virtually every shot ended up as a goal.
Unless we're suggesting that Ade is one of the top four strikers in the world over the long term (and I hope for your sanity that you're not) then it's a very reasonable expectation that the goals scored would dip quite heavily when his hot streak ended. That would then leave us conceding more than we were but not scoring more - only an imbecile (or Captain Bellend's mum) could think that the long term outcome of that is a good one.
Just to show its not a fluke, he's done precisely the same at Villa and again, they have a striker on a hot streak. When that ends (and it will either because Benteke's not permanently that good or because he is that good and therefore too good for Villa) then the same problem remains. It probably won't be that bad for them as mid table is currently a high aspiration for them but it would have been a disaster for us.
it'll surprise me greatly if we don't
I expect Sherwood to be sacked by Xmas after he's belittled the players ('none of em got any heart'), the board ('they aint got a big club mentality and wont spend on proper players') and the fans ('they don't know how good they've had it under me; i mean when was the last time they got to an FA Cup final? What the 1950s?').
I look forward to the excuses dolled out for him then..
