Shouldn't part of this debate be in Pochettino offically no longer coach at THFC thread? I was tinkled off at Burkinshaw going but I've let it go.
I would say that it’s difficult for any manager to stand out in PSG given their status in ligue 1 but do you not think that’s a pretty average performance for PSG in the CL given the calibre of players they have?So he's there for just one and a half seasons takes them to the semis in one year and then gets knocked out by serial winners Real Madrid next season but he's not pulling up trees? That is a fairly blinkered analysis. Not surprised then that I am "douchey"....
Well I guess unless Burkinshaw is in the running to be our next manager it is much easier to keep him out of the conversation...He was my first Spurs manager. Glory days indeed!Shouldn't part of this debate be in Pochettino offically no longer coach at THFC thread? I was tinkled off at Burkinshaw going but I've let it go.
Agreed!!!!!
BTW, I still remember Burky's words after the UEFA Cup Final win...still remember the game hahaha!
I dunno they've been arguably worse this season under Galtier who is an excellent manager, they failed in the Champions League under Tuchel, serial Europa cup winner Emery and serial Champions League winner Ancelotti. Failing in the Champions league at PSG is much the same as failing at Spurs. It's not always just on the manager.I would say that it’s difficult for any manager to stand out in PSG given their status in ligue 1 but do you not think that’s a pretty average performance for PSG in the CL given the calibre of players they have?
Big difference was that Burky went of his own accord despite the board wanting to keep him.Shouldn't part of this debate be in Pochettino offically no longer coach at THFC thread? I was tinkled off at Burkinshaw going but I've let it go.
Going out to the winners? As average as every other manager that has managed them in the last twenty odd years (and better than many who have gone out to a team that didn’t win the competition). Is Guardiola a poor manager due to not being able to win the CL at Emirates Marketing Project despite having numerous goes at it?I would say that it’s difficult for any manager to stand out in PSG given their status in ligue 1 but do you not think that’s a pretty average performance for PSG in the CL given the calibre of players they have?

The fans didn't sack Mourinho, Conte or Nuno.It does show he has to be next, until the fan base get over it no one else will get a fair shake.

Didn’t say Poch was a poor manager, I was supporting the OP who suggested he hadn’t “pulled up any trees” at PSG. Like I say, average.Going out to the winners? Whoever the next manager is. I wish to GHod he has a new backline to work with.
Yeh amazing that if we're attacking we're not defending haha, not sure Conte/Jose realsied that at timesOr just play in a way where they only need to be actively defending 30% of the game, instead of 80%
Doubt very much that Levy makes his management decisions through the fans.they played their part
No ‘they’ aren’t. In fact, many of ‘them’ (despite ‘themselves’) don’t think it’d be a good idea given the same structure is in place, and therefore the same issues will likely occur. I think (as I said somewhere else) it’s sad the conversation is even happening. We should’ve left it behind by now. Yet here we are…
