How underground was this?I think the tear gas came later with the armed guard. Worth remembering that these are not riot police. They're trained, but spend most of their days telling tourists not to lean on the ropes.
The real problem is the lack of information. I don't know how underground the planning was - I certainly didn't know it was happening until it hit the news. That wasn't the case the last time there was a riot there.
That is entirely possible. Although he's done a very good job of looking after himself and his own, so I would lean towards the narcissist who knows what he's doing over the one who keeps stumbling into a new way of making a very comfortable life for himself.
Obviously racists are the main issue with racism, but I don't think we're going to change them. They're already excluded from polite society, their actions are illegal, short of locking them up for thought crimes when they don't act, I don't know what else we can do.
They will die off though and will not be replaced at the rate they die.
Of course, to show that privilege is a problem, one has to show that the actions of normal, non-racist people differs depending on race - I don't think that's the case except for comparatively rare exceptions.
What the word privilege has become though, is a useful tool for some to devalue the opinions of others based on their gender, race, upbringing, etc.

Now, Robert Evans is all kinds of great, but he's not the FBI. If he could figure it out, why couldn't law enforcement?
Had this been left wing groups I think the preparation and response would have been very different. See my above post too with comments from someone in the police force.
Would be interested in hearing your examples on what those instances of privelege are. I have a feeling we disagree on how big of a problem it is.
