2022 World Cup... gonna ruin the European Season

I’ll be disgusted if they give in on the armband, the message it sends is more important than the football.

I'll be massively tinkled if the FA instruct Kane not to wear it or he decides off his own bat not to wear it. Giving in on this for the sake of not getting a booking will mean any gesture these boys are making is pure lip service until the mildest of pressure is applied to them.

Let them book Kane and show themselves up as the shower of c**ts that they are.

Not sure of the practicalities of armband bookings, which law would the officials be using?

Also, if the captain gets subbed off, is the new wearer booked?

It’s stupid, and I hope to see a player put it to the best, hopefully one of our lot.

Yeah, you either have principles or you don’t.

Harry's got to wear it in my book. He's said he would, he can't back down or hide behind the FA on this. Even if he takes the booking today and says "okay, I've now made my point and done my bit", I'd be okay with that. Not doing it today...he goes down in my estimation.

Imagine promoting football as being for all and then penalising players for showing support for a group who've suffered and continue to suffer discrimination. This really would be breathtakingly immoral if it happens.

So looks like we are going to not wear a one love armband, in what world are we living where a message of solidarity and inclusiveness is worth a suspension....that's what we are dealing with and it's a mockery.

Honestly I'm sick in my stomach with all this. Being bullied by an organisation to not show a message of support to a persecuted minority.

Fcuking bunch of bigoted cnuts, Fifa Qatar, the whole shaabang and if the FA and players allow themselves to be bullied by this, the it just looks weak

Hopefully we'll see bookings for taking the knee too and Harry can get sent off before kick off for supporting two groups. He'd have the record for fastest sending off in football too.

Denmark's coach has said his captain won't wear the armband if it means getting a booking - says it is up to their federation, not up to the players.
Van Dyke has already said he doesn't like the idea of playing on a yellow.

Kane is going to have to be the trailblazer here but as mentioned earlier, it sounds as though the FA will bottle out of it.
At the same time, the England players are going to take the knee as a sign of promoting inclusivity.
Kane is pretty strong-willed. I reckon he will wear it.

The thing is, I would call their bluff here, imagine the message on the global stage that FIFA send booking a player for wearing an armband that promotes inclusiveness, they wouldn't be able to come back from it, it would be the end of them

You almost want them to book you, shame them at the same time

I said I wouldn't watch the thing but I'll take a look today to see what Harry does. Don't let us down son.

As for Denmark and VVD...shame on you if that's the strength of your principles.

I don't really understand why we have chosen to take the knee in this match. Seems a bit strange. They will probably take the knee and the ref will just start the game before they kneel down anyway

And there we have it.

I feel so disappointed. In a country where you can literally be stoned to death for being homosexual, we fold at the threat of a mere yellow card.
Don't bother taking the knee, it's meaningless.

Yeh thats a shocker from England, this is bigger than football and sanctions and regardless what anyone says, its all our responsibility to stand up to bigotry, including the FA and footballers, me and you.

Let them sanction you, let them shame themselves in punishing a message of love, shame them on the world stage. Or don't and just allow the message of oppression and bullying to win, thats the choice you make.

Fcuking sad day this

Sporting sanctions? It's a fudging yellow card. He's not being suspended or banned. F**k off.

Jesus Christ..."We're prepared to support a cause until the most minute of pressure or inconvenience is applied to us."

Shameful day for football and shameful day for Tottenham Hotspur given our star player is the face of this.
