Brazilian football has not been this bad in a while, same must go for their league. I don't know why clubs pay such silly money considering they come to Europe unproven. Of course Neymar was pretty much a sure thing, but the others weren't. Paulinho was billed as the "tropical Frank Lampard".

looking at his transfer fee, other teams that he was linked with, basic stats whilst at hoffenheim, the overall vibe im getting is that he is a very good player, but nothing more. probably in the coutinho, eriksen ballpark.

I think that one criticism which can be levelled at him is a lack of goals.

If he can bring that to his game then he could be very good, if he doesn't then he'll continue to be an expensive show pony who gives away the ball a lot.

Clyne had some excellent stats last season. Out of all their signings so far, i think this is by far the best one. Definite upgrade on what they have, PL proven, in the form of his life

Not that hard ;), since all they really had was that kid on loan from Atletico Madrid.
 
Is Clyne better then Chambers? If so, then they did well to sell him to the arse for as much as they did.
