The Cricket Thread

Just saying to my son how thr current England side have changed the mindset 3 years ago we would have been very pleased to see England score 54-1 in a morning session of an Ashes match and now we are ridiculing the Aussies for that.

Yeh exactly

Mark Butcher did a segment on it which explained it really well. Players will hit centuries and get out cheaply that the nature of cricket, but we have found a formula where players might get out for 12 off 12 but players will also get out for 12 off 70 with the later actually creating more pressure on yourself inviting wickets than being attacking. Especially with the other team having to react to you and not the other way out, example being the Aussies on day one with fielders on boundary

Stokes gone, 200 lead with 7 to go
I would feel happy with a lead 350 & updwards

Another long demoralising day in the field for the Aussies.

Warner denying he has seen any Bazball this summer made me laugh. 120 in one session, record for any test ever.....enjoy ya retirement Warner

He is a rooster who is going out with a whimper, should never have been allowed to play cricket again the 1st place

Random one but watching this test its made me realise what a hodge podge of a ground the oval is, the pavilion looks like its been sandwiched between two council estates.

It's one of my fav grounds to go and watch cricket in but is very random
The playing surface has reduced by 25% over the last 20 years of development as they have zero space around it
