No. Harry didn't know a thing about Sandro, to which he even admitted.

Do you have a quote to support that?

From what I remember what he said was that he hadn't seen him play. Something that can easily be interpreted as he hadn't seen him play live, he could have watched recordings, or at the very least he could have read and listened to scouting reports. Not the same as not knowing a thing.

Manchester United have agreed a ?ú3million fee for 18-year-old Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez (Daily Mail - Breaking News)

Never heard of him but looked at his wikipedia stats and they look good. 8 in 11 for his club Universidad de Chile.. 2 in 4 for Chile U15's and 3 in 4 for the Chile U17..

another Hernandez perhaps?

Tottenham have been rebuffed in a bid to lure Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid.

Intermediaries acting on the club's behalf sounded out the Argentina striker, 24, about a switch to London but he has decided he wants to stay in Madrid.

Higuain, who has also been targeted by Chelsea and Emirates Marketing Project, struggled to earn a starting place in Madrid last season but has opted to fight for his place.

Gone-zalo: Spurs have failed in their bid to sign the Argentina striker

Meanwhile, Tottenham scouts ran the rule over Serbia and Spartak Zlatibor Voda goalkeeper Branimir Aleksic, 21, during Tuesday's friendly against Sweden.

That is quite a bold statement, can you find any quotes to back that up? My recollection is that Sandro was spotted by Broomfield who reports to and was appointed by Harry.

Doubt he was spotted by Broomfield, can't see it being a coincident that we teamed up with Internacional before we went for Sandro.
Our club partnership likely to have made it so Sandro caught our interest, he could even have been suggested by internacional.
Broomfield was definitely in Brazil and scouted him before we put in offers for him though,
and Broomfield is Harry's scout.

VDV was on the list of potential targets early on in that window, but ruled out due to high transfer fee. He was then available at a much smaller fee on the very last day.

Exactly.

There is no such thing as a Levy signing. Redknapp and his staff does the identifying of players, Levy does the negotiations.

I'm sure number of player agents contact Levy directly and offer their clients. He then probably writes some names down and asks Arry if he'd be interested.

Rafa reveals Italy desire

Spurs man has 'good feeling' about Italian top flight

By Gerrit van Leeuwen. Last Updated: June 7, 2012 6:26pm

Van der Vaart has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer, with Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma among the Italian sides previously thought to have the Dutchman on their radar.

The 29-year-old, who is also reportedly being targeting by Bundesliga club Schalke, played down speculation surrounding his future earlier this week, insisting he is happy at Spurs.

But the Netherlands international, who has already played in the Dutch, German, Spanish and English top flights, says Serie A is an attractive prospect.

Good feeling

He told Dutch Playboy magazine: "I would like to play in Italy once. Much has been said about the Serie A not being attractive, but I have a good feeling about it."

Van der Vaart hopes he can continue to be involved in football when his playing days eventually end.

He added: "I would like to become a person somewhere between a coach and technical director.

"Helping players, talking to them - just name it. A squad is very big nowadays and because of that players don't always get attention. Sometimes players who are out of favour are treated like garbage."

The Sun jumps on the " Modric to Utd " bandwagon with this story in their friday edition:

Luka Modric to join Man Utd

By NEIL CUSTIS

Boss Alex Ferguson has offered Tottenham a ?ú25million fee, rising to ?ú30m based on appearances and success.

Modric, 26, will be handed a four-year deal worth ?ú26m.

His wages of ?ú125,000 a week will put him among the big earners at Old Trafford.

Modric has kept up to date with talks while at Euro 2012 with Croatia and will seal the move on his return.

Spurs held off interest from Chelsea to hold on to the midfielder last year.

The Croatian said he had no intention of quitting Spurs having signed a six-year deal in May 2010.

United boss Fergie signed Japanese star Shinji Kagawa this week and wants NewcastleÔÇÖs Cheick Tiote and Everton left-back Leighton Baines ÔÇö but refuses to match the ?ú20m valuations on each.

?ú26m and Nani and Id be tempted

That's it rafa keep the transfer speculation going! Baffling why they say brick like this

Especially when Chelsea's ?ú45m last summer was rejected.

If Modric goes this summer, United simply don't have the funds to enter the competition.

45 mill??? i doubt it

for most of the summer they were hovering between 22 and 25 mill bids according to reports, and they made one final 27 mill bid.......dont try to tell me then they suddenly decided to say fcuk it, here is 45 mill!!!

the interesting aspect with the Sun article is that its written by Neil Custis who knows a lot about what is happening within the Old Trafford corridors, so the figures quoted are probably correct in terms of wages, the transfer fee however will be Utd's first offer and Levy will reject it out of hand.

Levy will look for more than the 31 mill that Berba went there for..... for Modric i see a transfer deadline deal of 33 mill with a further 2 or 3 mill dependant on trophies etc
