It’s kind of what happened, just starting positions are different. Richarlson was always coming from the right and Son from the left.

just think the system needs refining a bit if Kulu is out.

And how does that work with Son in the team? You would then need someone on the other wing to balance it out, which will mean playing a 4 at the back. You could stick Son with Richie but it will be no different to the 5-2-3. Kane is not mobile enough nowadays to do the off the ball work of a number 10 imo.

We can. But without Kulusevski we lose one of the players that are best at working between the lines, creating (and scoring) chances and progressing the ball into and in the final third.

Unless others can fill that void too much of that responsibility falls on Kane. Bentancur did step up, Hojbjerg too imo. But not enough to cover for the loss of Kulusevski imo.

We also lose pretty much the only player capable of creating stuff wide right through combinations with the wing back and on his own. We don't have a right sided wing back capable of covering for that.

I think we really need cover for Kulusevski.
 
The fact he is constantly shoe horned in the team out of position or coming off the bench is ridiculous. He should have been given a proper chance ahead of Son a while ago and Sons form hasn’t been any better at this World Cup. It really is time Richie got a proper run out….

The brazil set up is a kinda 4-2-4 which we could play
We would need a better LCB and could play Ben Davies left back with Royal playing right back
Conte started out playing that way I believe
It’s certainly an option when all are fit if we’re chasing games
