He should start the first game, he's been the stand out in pre season.Game on. Nice cheeky assist from Bergvall too

Possibly. I always think it’s mental how many players chew gum on the pitch.Did he swallow gum? Looked like he was choking.
They're about 50 years ahead of us in terms of building a winning mentality. When you hear that Bayern are a couple of weeks behind us in preparation, that must increase concerns.
Don’t read anything in to it. It is always the case that youngsters put in twice the effort that the senior players do in friendliesLooked far better this half . Sarr , Maddison not looked at it. Could be finding themselves on the bench as the youngsters look far hungrier.
Few of the senior players have look bang average pre season. Maddison looks off it by a long way.Don’t read anything in to it. It is always the case that youngsters put in twice the effort that the senior players do in friendlies
And rightly so if things don't improve. I simply cannot understand what has happened to Maddison, before the injury he was unplayable. He had great awareness and set up so many good plays, like an Eriksen light and certainly much better than said Eriksen was at the end. Now he runs around like a headless chicken doing a few tricks, not visibly trying to create anything useful or even knowing what kind of role he has. He looks like a totally different player, and we suffer for it because we have no one else to do what he did - albeit shortly. Bergvall might be it, but it's far too early to say.Looked far better this half . Sarr , Maddison not looked at it. Could be finding themselves on the bench as the youngsters look far hungrier.
Agreed, but some of the senior players are carrying on from last year.Don’t read anything in to it. It is always the case that youngsters put in twice the effort that the senior players do in friendlies

If that is true, he's never going to be the player we hope for us - for multiple reasons.Does Madisson think he has his spot locked on? That could be a reason.
