Politics, politics, politics

As with the IRA, I can understand the cause without approving of the actions.
In your opinion the French resistance were in the wrong?

Not putting words in your mouth just trying to understand, In your opinion they should have either formed a militia or do nothing?

Yes. As you stated, there are grey areas - terrorists attacking military targets is less bad than terrorists attacking civilians. Militia attacking military targets is better than terrorists doing it.

In this case, this is the lighter end of the grey area. Had the IRA attacked only military targets, only in the Republic of Ireland (similar, by my understanding, to the French Resistance), then I would be far less disgusted by their actions.

Looks like the weather has been almost exactly what the Conservatives would have wanted.

Voting Labour just so you can tell all your Facebook friends you did so seems a lot less appealing in the tinkling rain, I suspect. Especially when you can just tell them you did anyway.

David Milliband will come back and save the Labour party, thats my prediction
Don't know if it will happen but would be a inspired move given the dross floating around at the moment.

It really feels like an opportune moment for someone to step up (from any party)....I've never seen it so skinny for likeable/capable/voteable politicians......a real sorry bunch.

Look good, talk well, win votes - I call it the Trudeau

He would be perfect for Labour now and would turn them around just by being a believable talker to start with

At least May is gone.

Even if they do limp to a majority (and I doubt they will) then she has to resign.

All on Scotland by the sound of it.
So the Scots that don't want to be part of us (well, maybe they dont depending on brexit) now hold a load of influence.

What a mess.....You couldn't make it up.

The exit poll has not been significantly wrong very often. I agree on May, if the poll is right, it is hard to see her lasting a year and she could well be causality of any parliamentary support from other parties. Even with a majority, I cannot see her surviving past two years. I agree on Scotland, that sounds like the SNP losing rather a lot of seats.

I was hoping for an early night tonight. brick politicians. Run brick campaigns. And deny me sleep. Bastards.
