Politics, politics, politics

That's how wars work - the side with the bigger army wins.

You can get around that by being better at developing technology, better at tactics, making friends with a bigger army, avoiding war in the first place, etc.

Targeting civilians and not distinguishing oneself from them is never right.

Hypothetically, what if that bigger army attacked you first without sound justification, and killed thousands of civilians in collateral damage?

Then I distinguish myself from civilians and attack military targets.

Anything else would only increase civilian casualties on my own side.

Civilians are always targets in wars and just because you have a uniform on doesn't increase your level of valour. If the UK was invaded by, day, the US or China, and forced to be a subject, I'm damn sure most Brits would take up arms in whatever means necessary.
I'm not condoning the murder of civilians, but it is important to understand how your own actions create a reaction.
And the UK has certainly not been exempt from atrocities against civilians, it just takes people with balls to admit it rather than hiding behind a flag

Certainly money to be made from this election. (especially if you have a lot to put on)
To win the most seats. Conservatives 1.06 on betfair....so 6% on your money in 24hrs. That's nailed on.
May to be prime minister after election. 1.15 betfair. Surely so?
Going to put a score on turnout...I'm predicting 55-60% at a healthy 6.2 on betfair.

There are some good markets and its in play as well. The sheer numbers involved De-risk a lot of the bets. Eg as opposed to something like loading on Tyson to beat buster Douglas at 1.10.

I think may to be prime minister is worth a % of my bank, also have murray to win his semi final.

Dont know how anyone can vote for Corbyn and his team.

Corbyn -
Arsenal Fan
Calls terrorist organisations such as Hamas "our friends" you cant be friends and talk to peoples whos agenda is to kill you
Doesnt want a shoot to kill policy, imagine how many more would have died in the latest terror attacks
Doesn't and wouldn't use nuclear weapons if we needed to - this man will not protect us here
Has shown up to pro Palestinian rally's shouting the odds on why Israel have a missile defense system. Imagine we had to have one here? would he not deploy them and let missiles rain down on us? he not want to protect us!
Hasn't and wont rid of his Parties anti-Semitic members
Rejected a invitation to attend the Holocaust museum in Israel saying he was too busy.

All of this demonstrates the character of the man who is so far left, seen plenty of video footage of his crap. Look at the mans face for gods sake, can you trust that!

Abbott - wow even corbyn has realised what an absolute taco this woman is and she is now "off sick" dont really need to comment any further on her. She digs her own graves. Fun to watch though :)

This country needs a strong leader who will stand up for us and protect us, we need someone to think of us Brits and not worry about anyone else.

May isnt much better and hasnt convinced me she is up for the job. Remember you are voting for a team not just an individual. Do you really want Corbyn & Abbott leading this country? GHod help us!

I only wish we could bring back Winston Churchill to bring this country back to its best again. I want my son to be brought up in a strong country with strong leaders. Corbyn isnt the man for us!

I fear for what will happen under the Tory's, the march to the right will continue.

It doesn't matter who we send to negotiate Brexit, we're fudged, but "no deal" is certainly not better than a "bad deal". May has painted herself into a corner over negotiations, she's been so wishy washy on the campaign she'll clearly be useless in negotiations and her ego appears prevalent enough to make her walk away convincing herself (and some of the electorate sadly) that that is in some way a win.

We have a hard five years ahead of us.

It will be a different type of right to the Cameron-Osborne years.

May is socially conservative to their socially liberal. But she is economically interventionist to their economic liberalism (free markets).

So some things like further privatisation/big business free hand/erosion of worker rights may be curtailed.

However the social thing is concerning - marriage tax breaks, favouring religion over gay rights, snooping over civil liberties etc.

Targeting civilians is wrong.

Not distinguishing oneself from civilians as a combatant makes your own civilians a target.

It doesn't matter how much you agree or disagree with the cause of the IRA (I'm actually very sympathetic to their cause), their actions are wrong, not matter what the angle. Anyone refusing to call their actions what they were is scum - especially if they're part of the UK political system.

I agree with every part of this and it was put so much better than I ever could.

David Milliband will come back and save the Labour party, thats my prediction

Ed Milliband also having a Portillo/Hague style renaissance. I think he'll be back shadowing one of the big three offices under their next leader.

David was Blair's true heir. It will be a long time before Labour goes that centrist again.
