Politics, politics, politics

People say that, but it's not necessarily true. Middle of the road was to vote Remain, to vote Hilary Clinton, to vote for an established party in France. I think the core vote would get smashed under someone like Umunna in an election just after the Brexit decision.

You could be right, one thing is for sure, you and I are going to be up all night on Thursday watching it. It is sad but I always follow politics, hate politicians but always follow politics.

The mail online is going to make grim reading for Labour tonight. People can dismiss it as a right wing paper which it obviously is but the videos dont make Labour look very good, very poor judgement to cosy up to extremists like that.

I've voted for the last time unless they change the 15 year expat rule , haven't we learnt anything from polls, I think the Tories will do much better than expected, when push comes to shove, people aren't really going to vote for the most radical labourite since Michael Foot and millennials will forget to vote.

Hearing on the news this morning that Corbyn has expressed scepticism over the proposal on lengthening prison sentences for convicted terrorists....

.....is this man actually fudgein real?!

There's no money for a Labour government to work. Blair could redistribute/throw money at the public sector because of the strong economy of 1992-7.

A government based on this manifesto would be better in 5 years once Brexit is done and the economy booming. At this point in time though they'd just bankrupt the country in weeks.

I work in a very high performing sector that Corbyn wants to turn public. We are world-leading and completely sustainable at the moment (road out austerity like no other), but under state control we would be severely cut

Keep saying this, keep saying it and maybe, just maybe it will turn into a truth. You know how labour propose to fund their manifesto as well as the next man. Increasing tax on the top 5%, so why keep echoing this propaganda. Also, why aren't you just as hard on the Tories. Where will the cuts be made and how deep will they be to fund the big tax payoff to their mates in big business?

Ha, ha the Daily Mail showing their true colours.... this is the same right wing brick roll that endorsed Oswald Mosely's British Union of Fascists. The only people influenced by this would be the educationally subnormal and their right wing nut job fellow travellers. Ha, ha, ha.

My GHod the must be approaching retirement age you would think by now.

Did Lloyd George not meet Hitler and say what a thoroughly nice gentleman he was?

Yeah I think he did. A lot of British Tory politicians were charmed by him too. I don't see what any of that has to do with a fascistic newspaper's disgraceful attempts to politicize a national tragedy. I'm just reminding people that this is no recent thing, The Daily Mail and The Sun have always been a disgrace!

Do you not think the guardian or Corbyn have been making it into a political issue when they talk about cuts(they have a point) If you are engaged in politics you can not just read the stories that suit your agenda you have to hear all sides to get a rounded view of a topic. Corbyn has a history of sharing a stage with extremists.

McDonnell called Tory McVey "a stain on humanity" and said she should be lynched, considering a politician was murdered around the same time, do you think the deputy shadow leader saying things like that is sensible?

No I do not! But the Daily Mail spew their divisive, sensationalist, simplistic bile day after day after day. BTW, May has also shared a stage with extremists, i.e. McGuiness. Having common ground with he idea of Irish nationalism is not the same as endorsing IRA attacks on innocent people, however much the Daily Mail attempt to make that misleading connection..

I am talking about the deputy shadow leader of the country talking about lynching someone because he does not agree with their views, just after an MP has been murdered. People used to resign over things like that when the was still some common decency around. If I talked like that on this website and I have said things I should not on here, I would get a ban.

He is the shadow deputy leader of the country, he should not be so irresponsible as to say such things, if we are to hold people like that pratt Trump to account for the stupid stuff he says, if we are to criticise him then we have to do it to all who say such vile hatred inspiring rhetoric. Do you think it is just Muslims we should hold to account when they insight violence? that is pretty right wing of you, I always suspected with you it was a case of the lady doth protest to much, your actually a right winger hiding behind a left wing facade arent you.:D

I haven't looked at the website today but about 1.5 million potential voters will be flicking through this propaganda today...

I have a quick question, is there anyone in todays world ( and educated) actually believe anything they read in the Daily Fail. Serious question.

yep loads - just think how many football fans believe the transfer rumours they read and extrapolate it. People are stupid, even clever people are stupid.

I would agree and add all newspapers to that list, they have the agendas.

That said when the are websites out there also reporting comments and linking videos to what McDonnell has said. Then just as when papers highlight the stupidity and racists ways of Trump, I think you have to acknowledge when they report about other politicians.

O.K but you know that all papers have agendas ( which you have already said), the big problem is that there are those who believe EVERYTHING they read in these rags. These people have no mind of their own on occasions.

I don't believe much of what they print, but I'm fairly sure they haven't doctored the photos of the events Corbyn's been attending or the people McDonnell's been meeting
