Politics, politics, politics

Maybe, but its how they report brick and the slant they put on it that can be misleading ( suits their agenda).
They may have done so, but the photos don't need slant. Just show the photos (with captions for the idiots out there) and it is enough to make Corbyn unelectable.

O.K but you know that all papers have agendas ( which you have already said), the big problem is that there are those who believe EVERYTHING they read in these rags. These people have no mind of their own on occasions.

Yep there are idiots that believe everything they read in them. A cafe I go in sometimes the lady owner who is a fellow yid, keeps saying to me "I have heard we are signing such and such player" she makes it sounds like she knows someone at the club who has told her, while I can see a newspaper on another table with the back page headline saying Spurs are after such and such.

So I am full aware the are plenty of idiots out there who believe everything they read, galling when I only get to have a fry up once a month and want to be left to eat it in peace and quiet.

That said as unpalatable as the Mail is, I do not buy it, occasionally I will buy the Sunday Times, usually when it is raining and the is no football on. But even the mail is sometimes right about things and like all papers they have a duty to report the news.

As a born Londoner the news that tinkled me off most this year till the terror attacks was the garden bridge and how much money Boris wasted on it and I believe Kahn when he suggests kick backs were involved. I am in some ways politically to the right, though in a lot of ways very liberal as well. But I will read all online papers to get an idea of what is happening out there.

The Guardian, Times and Telegraph are the best for news without sensationalising things, but that does not mean in my view that the other papers do not make some very good points from time to time. The Daily Mirror make some good points about tory corruption, but because the go down the Mail path of shouting it from the roof tops it seems to get lost in the wash. I guess what I am trying to say is I think all the tabloids can be a bit rash at times but they all have their place and we need them all to keep all sections of the elite in tack.

No I do not! But the Daily Mail spew their divisive, sensationalist, simplistic bile day after day after day. BTW, May has also shared a stage with extremists, i.e. McGuiness. Having common ground with he idea of Irish nationalism is not the same as endorsing IRA attacks on innocent people, however much the Daily Mail attempt to make that misleading connection..

A connection that would be much, much harder for them to make if the man were simply prepared to condemn said attacks in clear terms.

This a Blairite rag. There was never a chance that this particular right wing hack was ever going to write anything other than a damning appraisal of Labour.

We'll see tomorrow. Personally, I find reading different accounts interesting. Is the MEN a Blairite rag too?

True.
Or people could be adults and understand there were valid reasons the Irish were forced to undertake guerilla activity

That is my point but you say it more eloquently and simply then I. I am not saying I am a fan of the mail or any newspaper, the only thing I am a fan of is Tottenham Hotspur and Mark Cavendish.

I give all the online newspapers a read of an evening around 11 o clock. I actually realise I am a little sad, because I hate politics but I will be watching tomorrow night with interest. It is almost like it is a game, the team I want to win wont win but I will be watching.

I see the Evening Standard are compelling the masses to vote Tory... after spending 7 weeks hammering them every day

To a degree I agree with you, the wife is Irish I understand that they want united Ireland but of course the Northern Irish need to agree to it(I hope one day they will) but it is bad politics and shows a lack of political awareness in my view.

Osborne whipped them into shape in one of his 20 jobs. I think MPs are paid enough to do just the one job and do it better then they currently are. Though my acupuncturist seems to think Osborne could do a hundred jobs, interesting chap my acupuncturist.

And therein lies the problem for a lot of folks, there are those who do not have the same desire as you and others that look at all news sources ( not just their daily read of those they believe as gospel).

I know lots of folks who will say this news feed is right and the other is wrong but they rarely read the ones that they THINK are wrong. What i am trying to say ( maybe not very well) is that folks should read/listen to all news feed and get a balanced view before saying this paper is right and that one is wrong. But that would not suit the agenda they believe in.

There's no excuse for acting in such a disgusting manner.

You want to fight a war? Put on a uniform and target military targets. Their actions were those of murderous cowards.
The tiny, subjugated Ireland would have stood no chance.
The British have very rose tinted glasses when it comes to their colonial atrocities and anyone that fights back.

That's how wars work - the side with the bigger army wins.

You can get around that by being better at developing technology, better at tactics, making friends with a bigger army, avoiding war in the first place, etc.

Targeting civilians and not distinguishing oneself from them is never right.

Theresa May is a threat to national security. Week and wobbly.
I'm no Corbyn fan. But he has led an impressive campaign. He has handled personal attacks well and the party has campaigned on a thoughtful, progressive manifesto (some of which I don't agree with). Meanwhile the Tories have run an awful campaign, not being bothered to cost their manifesto, led by a woman who is already giving David Cameron serious competition for the title of worst Prime Minister in living memory.
I have issues with a Labour party (don't get me started on Dianne bloody Abbott) but there is no such thing as compassionate conservatism.
Vote for the many not the few.

Vote Labour.
