Sky Sports understands Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran is poised to join Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on loan.

it will be one of, not both.....id say Schurrle. Really good player and looks like a nice guy too

True. Atletico have done good business this summer, their front line could possibly look a little something like this:

-------------------Mandzukic----------------

Griezmann---------Reus/Schurlle-------Arda

Not bad, especially if it's Reus.

Schurrle this has got to stop? Strengthens these teams against their competitors, and weakens them when they play them. Madness.

They keep making a mockery of the loan system, while the football authorities sit tight and do their usual **** all. This is way beyond a joke now, and has been for some time.

Agreed.

Time to limit the number of player registrations a club may hold and / or to change the rules of the loan system - at least so that players cannot be loaned to clubs in the same league.

Long overdue changes that - although I'm sure when someone actually decides to take action against this, it will not be by implementing the simple, obvious rules, but rather through a complex system with plenty of loopholes for the likes of Chelski to exploit.

Plus I'm sure it will be implemented over a ten year period or some other ridiculous time frame, to allow the players on loan to retire before changes actually have to be made.

Why should players not be load to teams in the same league? We were more than happy when Townsend, Walker, Naughton etc went on loan to PL sides.

Indeed we were. But Chelsea are taking it to a new level.

For us, the loan system is primarily used to give our academy graduates first team experience at a level that is appropriate to their development. For Chelsea, the loan system is primarily used as an opportunity to stockpile players in order to prevent other clubs from signing them and then to loan them out strategically to clubs which Chelsea don't consider to be rivals but which, with the help of Chelsea loanees, might be able to take points off their title chasing competitors.

It really is obscene how many senior players Chelsea have out on loan. It's an abuse of the system and the loopholes need to be closed.

If we were a richer club we would have better players to loan out, e.g. Holtby, Sigg, Bentaleb, Chadli, Townsend, that kind of level... as it is they are vying for starts whilst we dream of buying better players

That's as maybe.

But if we were routinely buying players just to loan them out, then my stance wouldn't change. It's an abuse of the system. It shouldn't be allowed. And it would be easy to put a stop to it.
