***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v nottingham forest***

Or we need more players
Ideally 2 Cbs
I’m far form convinced we have the players to play any other way
Well football has transfer windows, so we couldn't just get more players - it's part of a managers job to manage that.

We have 4 CBs. How many more do you want?!
The injuries have been terrible, for sure.
The management of the situation has been non existent.

When the answer in any project is "we just need to buy more stuff", then you've lost. That's not leadership; that's lazy.

Would you say he looks dejected or just disappointed from that interview? He says the players are trying and he was right it was a tight call, but again I dont think the decision making is there currently.

Could have changed the whole game but I thought Kulu was in a great shooting opportunity in the first 15 mins of 1st half, yet decided to try and go out wide.

Least we arent being battered I suppose.

Feel for the bloke on a human level. Apparently his family are all in Australia for Christmas, so he’s having to suck this up on his own.

I said on here a day or two ago that I hope someone from the club is helping him with press conferences, because I think he generally comes across terribly; he either seems arrogant or prickly, or he looks like he wants to get under a duvet and cry.

Would you respect him more if he went back to basics in the next game, but still lost. I actually would.

It's the definition of insanity that bugs me the most.
I don’t think I would because that leaves his philosophy and his utterances to date in tatters. The whole selling point of Ange is his way of playing. To go back on it now, whatever the circumstances, kills him IMO. If he did and got a result, every time we hit a rough patch, he’ll be asked to be more practical.

He’s made his bed now, he has to lie in it and hope his beliefs are proven to be right. That this is just the dark before the dawn. As I’ve always said, I think it’d be great for football if he was right. However, he is increasingly sounding and looking like the emperor with no clothes.

I’d hope we could keep 2 fit
That’s hasn’t happened
I think he is trying to manage it but he also got it wrong earlier in the season by not rotation more imo

Ah i wondered why someone mentioned the other day he was by himself as I was sure his kids and wife were living with him, but that makes sense.

Yeh that sucks that he is on his tod, but least he can get leathered and doesnt have to have a hangover with the mrs asking him to hoover, or empty the dishwsher.

In his last pre match press conference he seemed fine to me Mikey? Usually the only time he comes off as prickly is when the journo is baiting him and being asked the same question for the 500th time and considering it winds me up having to listen to it I think he does rather well! And post match interviews, well I don't recall too many managers who seem particularly chipper after a loss. People say he looks 'defeated' well er yeah, tend to look like that when you lose :D.....

I looked a while back. Apart from Liverpool and us, all the top clubs operate with 5.

When you delve deeper, you see that our senior one has a maximum games in any one season of 42 only. You're building around a guy who always misses a chunk of a season for any club. Our 4th one is also a LB, who has very minimal experience of ever playing centre half in a back four, and is now in his thirties.

We also decided to loan Phillips out to fast track his development over our 1st team squad depth. It was a conscious choice.

It’s why I believe there is a longer term plan
I could be wrong of course

I would do that
But I’m a fan
We need bodies
Just actual warm bodies with some experience

Yeah, I bet he's had 15 games in the heat of battle this season. A player like that right now would really help.

Probably mean Dorrington can go the other direction and get what he needs most after that injury as well.
