***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v nottingham forest***

Trust me on this if nothing else. If Levy feels the knives are out for him too much, he will act. Munn and Lange are still working under him. I agree, it should not be that way given the structure, but I simply do not believe it is any other way. In fact, Daniel has an extra couple of layers of indemnity there, as those two WILL be the ones to carry it out if it happens...

Then we shouldn't be surprised if Munn and Lange don't last too long after either. At this level, you don't allow yourself to be undermined in this way. You just go and find another comparable role with another club.

If that happens, then we know that Levy will never vacate the role, and we should all be Levy out. The guy is hopeless at football ops.

Let's see.
I might have it all wrong (which I suppose undermines my 'trust me' line LOL) . I am going on history TBF. I will say that sadly, I think I'm reading this one correctly.

Yeah, but we may not know for a while. If Munn pulls the trigger, then it will be reported as Levy pulling the trigger anyway. Ditto if Ange sticks around for a while longer. I guess we'll only know if Munn goes the same was as Trevor Birch did.

He mentions the load on players right now.
Would you say he looks dejected or just disappointed from that interview? He says the players are trying and he was right it was a tight call, but again I dont think the decision making is there currently.

Could have changed the whole game but I thought Kulu was in a great shooting opportunity in the first 15 mins of 1st half, yet decided to try and go out wide.

Least we arent being battered I suppose.

Wasn't being remotely serious. I wouldn't let Sherwood manage my over 35s team. Just trying to point out that the win % table on it's own doesn't really say much.

I know nobody on this forum is quite that crazy :D

I was merely trying to make light of the fact that people keep saying Postecoglou needs more time to instill his philosophy into our squad but after 18 months we’re still seeing the same issues and it remains clear that we don’t have a strong enough squad to play Angeball twice a week. Hopefully another couple transfer windows will do the trick and this time next season all the hamstring injuries will have cleared up because he’s able to keep everyone out the red zone🤞

I get criticism of Ange for today but I hope this isn’t thrown out as evidence against him. That’s just a statistical anomaly.

More worrying was the performance and the fact we’ve lost 14 league games in 25 (and 9 in 18 this season).

In the 46 PL games since that infamous €helsea loss last season

Won:19 Drawn:6 Lost:21

He can't when he does - so what's the difference?

If he had six attackers out he'd still play the same way. He has literally said so, "it's how we play, mate"
When we have a fit defence we do defend better
The data shows that (could also be misleading as it’s early in the season so we’re fresher too)
But right now we have no defenders
I don’t know what he does next

I think he looks beleagured for sure. The fault I will call out in him right now is his personal 'performance' in these interviews, because he has to find more energy when speaking to the press. But it isn't his way (performance) albeit it is a part of the job. I think he really is just clinging on until he gets some players back. Spence red card and Dragusin injury does not help him at all.

I think the decision making on the pitch is off for sure, tired legs and minds.

I thought Deki was in a brilliant shooting position in the first 30 seconds, and confess I was somewhat unoptimistic when he did not at least have a go...

That was it, first 30 seconds.

I agree with your post about tired minds and legs. We are at a bare minimum and I guess when things are going against you, more things go against you.

Looking at today, I dont think Spence had a bad game, but I think it needed the energy of Porro as RB, although defensive wise he is suspect. So maybe a one match break for Spence is a good thing...

Deki has played brilliantly when at 80%
Today he was running and moving like he was at 50%
That may be the forgets players getting tight too but he then make such poor calls with the ball

The win/loss columns don't back that up.
And when it comes down to it, that is the only bit of data that matters.
All other data and performance management stats can be useful, but results are the final metric.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to make some tweaks and help the players instead of asking tired and non sharp players to play high tempo....
It does but I think he’s now backed himself into a corner and he can’t change. If he did and we got some joy, he completely undermines his system and everything he’s said up to now. If he twists and doesn’t pick up points, he’s just as undermined and we will be well and truly in the brick.

Ange is in a very, very tough spot right now. He’ll do well to get through it.

Would you respect him more if he went back to basics in the next game, but still lost. I actually would.

It's the definition of insanity that bugs me the most.

This
For me he has to stick with it
Big fudge me he needs to change some of the pakyers
He can’t be blind to wee that some of them are just not fighters when he needs fighters in come games
Similarly he should know how version games will evolve because there is some predictability
And that’s is on him
I remember Pep getting pelters for it and that was after winning everything
